I'll be working on that.It fits in there, just remove the hardware for the sheet metal and the air filter tube, get the filter in the area, then put it all back.
Out of the entire install, this is where you got stuck?!?

I would imagine you would just delete it. It is the sound tube. Remove it from the firewall and plug the hole in the firewall. I think there is a 10mm bolt that holds it to the firewall.I'll be working on that.
Now there this hose that fits on the OEM filter, the manual does not give any instruction on what to do with it?
It does address in the instructions. That is the factory sound tube, it gets removed and you install the ford grommet in its place at the firewall.I'll be working on that.

I'm assuming you just left the 10mm nut in the firewall...I know it seems obvious, but just making sure before I run to the garage and yank that sucker out.save yourself some trouble and time and just yank it off the firewall. thats what I did after struggling to reach the 10mm nut holding it in place. rips off easily...soft rubber/plastic
This. x143. Nylock - it aint' going nowhere.Yes that nut will stay there forever lol
Yep. Having the right tool can make this process much easier.you guys clearly have no idea what its like to be OCD
All fine and dandy for you guys that don't have 7-inch wide hands. Not a chance in heck that I could have fit my hand down there far enough to get the flex-ratchet on it. I tried for 5 minutes and said "nope, it ain't going in there" and reached over and just gave it a yank - and then hollered into the house and had the significant other put her small hand in there to plug up the firewall.Yep. Having the right tool can make this process much easier.
Pick up a mini-ratchet (3-4 inch length like this one: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200392524_200392524) and you can have it off in less than 5 minutes.
I laughed no offense takenyou guys clearly have no idea what its like to be OCD
edit: i meant this in a joking way BTW, hopefully didnt come off condescending.
. My arms are just too big to squeeze it there and move a tool around.
