This is always a slippery slope remote tuning cars. I took an interest in what my car is doing several years ago and bought an HP Tuners setup so I could at the very least data log my car in real time and get familiar with what a good and bad running car would look like. Once you start to see the data and are able to compare it with real world driving impressions, things become much clearer as to why tuners do what they do and how.
As far as the one poster saying Derel was unable to tune his JLT, man these things are not one off custom built racecars. if the JLT was installed correctly, then one or two revisions to account for minor differences in your car or your temp/DA should be all it takes. He did my JLT/LTH/Full E car just recently and its flawless. Shifts 10x better than stock and runs like an animal. And I have logged the hell out of my car. His fuel trims are within a few percent up and down and there is NO knock and nothing closing the throttle or anything weird I can see.
You really need to take his word for it or try to teach yourself and understand what hes seeing and know there is something else wrong. Blaming the tune, or tuners blaming the car is only going to end well if both parties have data to back it up and can understand what/why the condition is thats happening. In your case with the JLT, I would have pulled it off and completely reinstalled it. Then logged again. Then called JLT and asked for new couplers and so on. This is your car, take some responsibility to understand whats going on and figure out how to fix it. Once the JLT is on correctly and sealed, then go back to Derel and say here are new logs and now the car is off the scale in the opposite direction, what do we do. He can adjust and nail it down. Derel is not a TOONER like those lund secretaries. Hes the real deal - not a paid actor like that other douche youtube lund humper.
