Never had interaction with the other place, but nothing but good things to say about Wengerd. Super fast with responses before I bought my tuning.. during the tuning process, I was tuned within a few hours and ripping it up, and most of the time it was me dragging my feet, lol.. and even after the tune, I’ve had questions and he responds within minutes.

You remind me of the early days of Dennis Perry @ TS Performance. Dennis was a one man operation at the start and honestly his first PowerStroke 7.3 chip was by far the best at that time. Not many could match his customer service either.

Had some issues with my rtd device and firmware update so i still havent loaded actual tune yet waiting for them to resend my credits to load tune . One thing i will say is they must be busy because replies take a couple days

Well guys was finally able to upload my initial 93 base file and i have to say feels great the shifts are perfect now nice and crisp and Drive is great now to not much lugging at low rpm performance is ok but i know theres not much to be expected on pump gas i will update once i go e85

Been an incredibly slow process for me with Ortiz. Purchased NA 93/E85 tune in February. Countless revisions and finally done with 93 tune. Loaded the E85 and sent a datalog several days ago. Can’t drive the car till I know how it looks. Guess he’s better with Gen 3’s.

I know this is a debate and review of Ortiz/Wengerd performance but I can attest to Shaun @ AED . He has been very responsive and helpful in tuning my NA 21 GT on 93, FlexFuel and E85. I had what appeared to be an exhaust leak which he identified and was able to find out was just a loose O2 sensor. Incredibly patient and knowledgeable. He gets back to you same day or next in most cases. Even answers the phone/calls you back to answer all your questions!

I have used both. Wengerd is much better with response time/Revisions.

I added the No Lift Shift when I purchased the tune. I had to remind him about it cause he forgot. Wonder how many revisions that will require. I don't have much faith in it the way things are going.

Yikes. It's been that slow for you? This is somewhat alarming.

I'd rather have a multiple revised tune other than a canned tune! Give your tuner sometime to address everything properly. I went with Ortiz a while ago and we went back and forth just to get the best results. My location causes the late response from my side and his and I don't know about locals but it was fine with me!

I wouldn't go with Wengerd personally.

I don't like throwing shade at people but that's my opinion. He couldn't tune my JLT intake and Lund could, I don't know why, he said the intake was the problem, Lund said the intake was fine, it had a small leak but it didn't affect fuel trims. Fuel trims were 60%+.

With the Wengerd tune, I also had shifting issues. When using my paddle shifters from 3rd - 4th gear the car would skip 4th and automatically go into 5th. This was an issue Lund was able to fix once I told them about it.

His response times are fast I will give him that. I haven't posted much publicly about it because I don't like the situation in general.

If you want the best N/A performance, especially for the 10r80 go with Tricky Performance. All the hardcore coyote n/a guys suck their nuts, and I assume for good reason.
