Do you experience vibration and rumbling between 50 and 70 mph?

So i get a call from A Ford rep today. I'm told that FMC does not approve nor deny repairs, That's up to the dealer. The last two dealers have said to me that FMC needs to approve further diagnosis. This is really beginning to get old.:repost::repost:
Absolutely insane; the car is a Ford product, they need to stand behind it and tell the dealer they want it fixed.

The first dealer looked at it three different times during this time. They swapped the DS, made it worse. tried different tires and wheels and road forced balanced mine twice. Said they couldn't do anymore with out approval. took to the second dealer who confirmed an issue. Because of what the first one did they said they could not and would not do anymore than that without approval. So today they say it's up to the dealer. All records indicate to them that there is nothing wrong and it's the characteristics of the car. I told her straight out I've owned 19 mustangs and several other sports cars and anyone that says that has no clue what they are talking about and I can prove that. Maybe I should should convert mine to a rolling billboard and give them free advertising. I certainly have the equipment to do all vinyl graphics for free.

I'd say its time to get your money back. Get a lawyer!

I purchased with 15,000 miles on it. I am not the original owner. BBB I think is my next step after this next dealer gives up.

Unfortunately due to mileage and the fact that you were not the original owner the Better Business Bureau nor lawyer can do much for you. My suggestion is, and good luck at this, try and find a good dealer

Depends on the state... in GA, used cars are eligible as long as they aren't out of warranty. I think they only deduct for miles YOU put on the car, not original owner miles. At any rate, it is so easy to file the BBB claim, I can't figure out why he hasn't done it yet. If they've had 3 repair attempts, BBB will take the case. I'd also want to see if the original owner ever reported this as a defect on a service order. If so, a lawyer would have a field day with it...

Mine is back at the shop for it's 4th attempt. The dealer says they can't find the problem. Going there this morning to ride with them and see if I can get them to notice it. They did last time. It's the same problem. I don't know how you can miss it.

They won't give me any info about any repairs prior to me purchasing the car. They claim it belonged to someone that is related to someone at the dealership. Besides any work done in house will not show up on any report. (Carfax) and so on.

I don't know if anyone at Ford is reading this huge thread any more, but in the hope that someone there is, I want to let you know something.

Ford has lost me as a potential customer due to the engineering and service failures chronicled in this thread. I'm sure I'm not the only one. This thread makes me wonder how many other folks are out there with this problem and are all alone trying to get it fixed - folks that don't do forums like this one.

I am going to test drive - and likely purchase - a Challenger R/T Shaker 392 this afternoon. At least Chrysler is stepping up and recognizing, solving and fixing the known problems with the Challenger.

Any work or issues reported by the prior owner of the car if serviced at any Ford Service Center WILL show up on the Ford OASIS report that ANY Ford Dealership can generate. You can request it.

I'm wondering if the car was a Lemon Buy Back due to the vibe issue not being corrected and the original owner gave up.

I'm wondering the same thing. Had it a year and four months. I have the original purchase date 4/15/15. I'll check out lemon law just in case.

Great response!

I would also suggest anyone with a Social Media account to post the same sentiments on ALL of the Ford Social Media sites and link the thread.

The thing is, Ford and the Ford Engineering Team KNEW of the issue prior to releasing the S550 - it was captured in the documentary called "A Faster Horse", which has also been brought up numerous times in this very thread.

Here we are 3 model years in and still no solid fix for this problem - other than Ford handing out official Ford hose clamps to attach to the driveshafts - only for the problem to continually return...obviously the hose clamp fix is NOT the proper corrective action.

I checked NY's lemon law (for used vehicles) and you have until 4/15/17 to file, but you cannot file if the vehicle has over 18,000 miles.

A lemon lawyer will still take your case based on breach of warranty. Just make sure you have all your service records.
I have detail records of all repair attempts as well as conversations and with whom from the day I walked in the sales room. I am currently at just over 17,000 miles
