  1. Found a used mustang that I like but the interior has issues--ceramic colored seats over black. Options?

Thanks for all the replies. Agreed---the multi shade interiors don't work for me, but I can see a complete one color interior in this shade working nicely, especially in a rag top.
  2. Found a used mustang that I like but the interior has issues--ceramic colored seats over black. Options?

The car is a premium coupe with the options I like but the seat colors are just odd. What's the most cost effective way to get rid of the dumb color seats and get a black set that will match the rest of the interior? Thanks for any help in advance.
  3. All Season Tyres

I've had the A/S 4s on for nearly 2 years, using them to drive all year round after switching from a combo of GYAsym A/S and Blizzaks. The Mich.A/S 4 is a great summer tire--quiet and good traction wet or dry. In winter it provides solid traction to at least 30deg F and handles light snow...
  4. Questions on the wiring harness/rear camera recall

I had the car in a month ago for the dealer to take pictures of the harness and to order the parts, I pressed them on the question why were pictures needed and they said there were several types. I check in with them this week and they said nothing had come in and they had no expected delivery...
  5. All season tires

+1 on the AS4 tires. I replaced GY Asym. A/S OE tires--which wore well, but were marginal in the wet--with the AS4 and have no regrets. Firm ride, reasonable quiet, great traction dry or wet--very confidence inspiring.
  6. I hate the Pirelli P Zero Summer Only tires...

Have had the PS A/S 4 on for 9 months and like them a lot. Very good wet/dry traction, steering response, form ride and noise is OK. As the temps have dropped the last few months traction is still solid. No snow experience yet.
  7. Best source for stock '16' EB replacement rotors and pads

After sorting out a bogus inspection from my dealer on replacing thr rear rotors/pads on the car, looks like I'll have to do the fronts probably in the next 6-12 months. Had the rears done in 2019 and the shop put on rotors with unpainted hats--the rust on them now looks bad enough that I want...
  8. Another A/C question

Just tested it with a meat temp probe--the three middle vents were right around 43 deg. in a hot car with ambient temps around 80.
  9. Another A/C question

Had our "16" EB to the dealer for an oil change and to check the AC--which seemed not as cold as it might be. A few hours later I got the call--refrigerant level was full, tested for leaks- found none, vent temp was mid 40's but the ambient temp was only 70. Yesterday, out for a drive with the...
  10. Second set of rear brakes on 2016 EB done at 6K miles?

I haven't smelled anything after driving but I'm going to take off a wheel and measure the rotor thickness and pad thickness for myself. The rt rear rotor--the one with the pad at 3mm reportedly--visually doesn't look worn and doesn't have much of a lip on it that I can see with the wheel on. If...
  11. Second set of rear brakes on 2016 EB done at 6K miles?

Thanks for the replies. BTW, do you know what the stock thickness of pad material is on new rear brakes? Also, what's the thickness of of the rear rotor (non-PP)
  12. Second set of rear brakes on 2016 EB done at 6K miles?

In late 2019 I had the brakes inspected on the car by an Indy; the car had 48K miles. His work included a disassembly of the fronts, lubed moving parts and kept the OE front pads because they were within wear tolerance. The rears had more wear-- strangely--down to 3mm on the pads and the...
  13. FWIW Handling Package Ecoboost Wheel Weight

That's a huge weight drop per wheel; does the handling feeling any different?
  14. Costco Tires

    +1--good advice.
  15. Costco Tires

2 weeks a go I had Costco put on a set of the Michelin A/S 4 tires and got a great deal on them--$723 installed including tax. The installer didn't bugger up the wheels and the tires seem perfectly balanced. I highly recommend these tires.
  16. Pilot AS4 vs ContiExtremeContact DWS

A/S 4 200 mile update--relative to the GY F1 A/S OE tires: Noise --very quiet at highway speeds, on good asphalt roads. Handling--very good grip at low temps , turn in is right now, center on feel is excellent. Ride--significantly firmer than GY, with the temps swings lately I'll have to keep...
  17. Pilot AS4 vs ContiExtremeContact DWS

Just put on the A/S 4 tires, bought from Costco. $723 installed including tax. They replaced OE GY F1 asym. A/S. Stock 235/50/18 sizes. Not enough miles to provide a good analysis but in the city they are quiet and have a firm ride. I'll post more as the miles increase.
  18. Tire & Wheel Recommendations

+1 Since the winter weather in Detroit is similar to what we get in NE Ohio, you'll need real winter tires when the snow comes. Seriously consider a set of winter tires like the Blizzak WS80/90. I put a set on when I got the car back in 11/2015. One quick stop with the GY F1 A/S tires on a...
