Dodge did just say that they were coming out with a Hellcat engined Charger in 26. I've never liked the styling of the old Charger but I had a couple Challengers that I loved. They confused everyone with the new Charger being a 2 door (like the original 70's car) and discontinuing the...
The 80's T-birds were built on the same platform as the fox body Mustangs and were also great cars if you wanted a personal luxury coupe. The Fox body Mustang was much more usable than a current gen Mustang with the hatch and usable rear seats even though it was smaller and lighter...
Went to a local cars and coffee last sat and there were fox body 5.0's sitting next to 550 and 650 cars. The Fox bodies looked tiny. So I'm pretty sure they can make a smaller body Mustang with a V8. Heck, guys are putting LS motors in Miata's- which is a sweet setup.
Buy a C7. The C8 was designed around optimizing performance and a manual would take it in the other direction. Chevy can sell all the C8's they make so they really aren't too concerned about the few people who won't buy one without a manual. Time marches on. Even the bike manufacturers are...
As you've noted, all that tech will be obsolete and not supported after about 10 yrs... making these cars like old cell phones that you literally have to just throw away when something inevitably goes wrong. The cost of maintaining a 15 yr old Jag or Mercedes has already turned 100,000 msrp cars...
Wish they'd do a color similar to Porsche frozen blue with all black accents. I've painted a bunch of bikes this color and it is modern and classic at the same time.
The other, I think, obvious problem is that you have 9 yr old bushings and rubber deteriorates very noticeably after that many years. If you want to keep the stock ride quality and NVH, I'd replace all the bushings with new OEM and then have a good shop set the rear end up with proper alignment...
If Ferrari and Aston and BMW and Mercedes can make wagons (shooting breaks), why not a Mustang? Look at all the variations we have for other models- like F150 reg cabs, SC, CC, etc. Back in the day, we had reg cab long bed and short bed. Times change.
A friend uses one of these in his small shop and it works well. My problem is that I need to heat 1600 sq ft with 12 foot ceilings. But, since it is below grade, it stays in the 55-60 deg range during the winter. One of these may work to get the temp up to 65ish which would work for me.
Civic type R...
Back in my motorcycle dealer days, we were always amazed at guys that would buy GSXR's, modify and race them, and bring them back for warranty work when they blew something up.
Get him a Mazda 3. I'd personally take a Mazda over any other Asian brand. I wish they would come back out with a small pickup like the B2000's in the 80's. I had a couple of those and they were indestructible. I also had a couple RX-7's. Equally great cars for their era. My sister just looked...
Maybe some piston slap when it is cold. Does it get better as it warms up? My 2.7 EB in my F150 is noisy as hell when it is first started. Sounds like stuff rattling around on the engine but according to the guys on the forum, it is the waste gate actuators that rattle until it warms up. It...
That dealer has been doing these lightning tributes for several years. Roush supercharged, lowered, all the FP goodies ,leather interiors, etc. I drove one and it was stupid fast and handled amazing for a truck.
