What all do you need to upgrade to a brembo kit on a base GT?

At the very least, Brembo calipers, large rotors, brake pads of your choice and possibly different brake lines. A set of stainless steel braided lines should net you a slight improvement over the factory lines.

Yea figured but as far as mounting the caliper, is there a different bracket?

If you do any performance driving, you'll need the PP master cylinder as well

EDIT: to elaborate, a friend did exactly this swap on his race car and didn't see much improvement in stopping power. Tried everything in the book. Finally swapped in the PP master cylinder and it made all the difference.

If you're not hard on the brakes, you don't *need* the master cylinder but if you are, then add that to your list as well

It really made a difference? How hard was it to swap?

For the Brembo swap. You need, calipers, pads, rotors.
You can get the dust shields, but I don't run them.
The CFO required a mechanic perform the swap.

I think you mis-spelled "safety nazi" or "worry-wart" or other term of endearment.
Oh and depending on what trim you're upgrading from you also need the front lines.

Naaah, she is the CFO. And, did grab some steel braided brake lines for it as well.

You can use stock lines. I installed the PP lines and they leaked at the hard line connection. Don't know why but they did.

I am using SS lines now.

Maybe wheels to clear said Brembo calipers ? As least check it out by using a template of the new calipers on your existing wheels first. Would be a bad day if new calipers go on and your wheels have no clearance. The use of spacers are not usually recommended also.
