What all do you need to upgrade to a brembo kit on a base GT?

Yea figured but as far as mounting the caliper, is there a different bracket? At the very least, Brembo calipers, large rotors, brake pads of your choice and possibly different brake lines. A set of stainless steel braided lines should net you a slight improvement over the factory lines.
I looked at an upgrade kit on American Muscle and the video below from CJ Pony Parts and it doesn’t appear that different mounting brackets are needed.Yea figured but as far as mounting the caliper, is there a different bracket?
Did this recently, get the PP Master Cylinder !!!If you do any performance driving, you'll need the PP master cylinder as well
EDIT: to elaborate, a friend did exactly this swap on his race car and didn't see much improvement in stopping power. Tried everything in the book. Finally swapped in the PP master cylinder and it made all the difference.
If you're not hard on the brakes, you don't *need* the master cylinder but if you are, then add that to your list as well
Well worth the money for your car to stop better. With more horsepower you need better braking components to help you stop in time! We sell the Brembo Ford kits here at www.lethalperformance.com! It really made a difference? How hard was it to swap?Did this recently, get the PP Master Cylinder !!!
The CFO required a mechanic perform the swap.It really made a difference? How hard was it to swap?
For the Brembo swap. You need, calipers, pads, rotors.
You can get the dust shields, but I don't run them.
Ok, thanksThe CFO required a mechanic perform the swap.
I think you mis-spelled "safety nazi" or "worry-wart" or other term of endearment. The CFO required a mechanic perform the swap.
Naaah, she is the CFO. And, did grab some steel braided brake lines for it as well.I think you mis-spelled "safety nazi" or "worry-wart" or other term of endearment.
Oh and depending on what trim you're upgrading from you also need the front lines.
You can use stock lines. I installed the PP lines and they leaked at the hard line connection. Don't know why but they did.I think you mis-spelled "safety nazi" or "worry-wart" or other term of endearment.
