at least it's been 'lighter' the past couple years.

I just want to be able to drive with the windows down and not freeze my ass off. Then, I'll be happy :)
That should be doable in November!

I was really hoping I would see delivery of my car in the first week of October.
A November delivery seems much more likely, especially taking this valuable information into account. That being the case, I really do hope I'll see delivery before Thanksgiving!

Ordered July 28th, retail order, priority 19.

So, I was thinking of placing an order this weekend.
Would it be wise to do this? Is it possible that I could still receive my car sometime in Nov or Dec? I'll be ordering with X-Plan.

Or at this point should I just wait to see what shows up on the lots?

My concern is my 2012 GT500 lease is up on Dec 20th.

I just went on fords web page, put in my zip code, and searched for 2015's in dealer stock

38 2015 fusions in dealer stock
3 2015 Taurus in dealer stock
12 2015 fiestas in stock
5 2015 Z Max in stock
7 2015 explorers in stock
8 2015 Expeditions in stock
6 2015 super duty's in stock
10 2015 transits

all are 2015's, and all show in local dealer stock, so why no mustangs on it's 50th anniversary
Relax Don, this is a portion of MA/CT dealer inventory scheduled to be built this week. Pretty sure you will see them arrive by mid/end Sept.
Local Ordered 15 2.webp

Talk to your dealer. Not all dealers accept X-Plan and some only accept it on orders (not existing inventory if any.) December is most likely doable as either a stock or a retail order. But only if the dealer orders it with a the appropriate priority.

Well that's a bit later than I was hoping... I ordered exactly two weeks ago and was hoping to be able to be driving it in November. Seems like it'll probably be around December at this point... I at least hope I can get it before the end of the year.

From the sounds of things, there won't be any of these cars (even dealer stock) on lots until November?

Ford tried to do events in Canada, but you wouldn't take Justin Bieber back, so they canceled:D
As a Canadian, no car is worth that exchange.

I just feel ford did a poor job being this is the 50th anniversary. They should have been at dealers on April 17th 50 years from the date the original Mustang was available to the general public. The first mustang actually was delivered on April 15th 1964

There is only one 50th anniversary, and Ford could have done a lot better job for Fords flagships 50th anniversary

April to November is a big difference
Would you have rather had them rush everything, leading to recalls and quality control issues? You have to remember that the Mustang is not their only vehicle that is being redone this year. They have that, the F150, Focus, Edge, Transit...

I've already accepted the fact a while back that I won't order one this year since if I ordered, I knew it wouldn't hit the lot by September. I'm just hoping that some do hit the dealer lots that I can test drive and spec out before the snow flies up here. I want to make sure I really want it, and decide on my options before I order next year, but a test drive in the snow would really suck :(

I've been waiting for dealers to have these in stock so I can drive the different models, and see the cloth interior before I decide to buy. Guess I'll be waiting longer than expected. :(

Currently my family (father, fiancee, me) has three GT's on order. At this rate we'll all just wait until Feb and reorder so we have them by Spring. This winter looks to be brutal and while MD isn't the worst area, it's pretty much no fun time for Mustangs. Ford couldn't have picked the worst time of the year to launch this car.
