Not sure. I know there were guys who were 6'7"-6'8" who are driving these things around.
I'm willing to be the test dummy. Rent me one for a week and I can confirm or deny if its comfortable/usable for a 6'6" person with a 275lb build. Heck I'll even put a 1000 or so miles in it just to be sure.

Bigger bore, bigger valves, shorter stroke and higher redline = more HP. Your move Ford.
I'm glad Chevy finally made the move away from pushrod motors.
Hopefully Dodge follows along as well. Not a Dodge fan by any means but competition helps the buyers.
That being said, I REALLY hope there is a high-revving V10 Viper coming down the pipeline. The world needs another ACR.....or better yet, just give this new Z06 ACR-level aero.
700 lbs at 180 mph....no no no Chevy....triple that!

We'll see. Those old fashioned V8s are bulletproof and make a ton of torque.

At least in my book, I'd much rather have high revs than high torque

Ford hamstrung themselves years ago with the small bore spacing of the 4.6 mod motor. They have been struggling ever sense trying to work within the small bore limitations of this design. Chevrolet’s dedicated Z06 engine does not have this issue. Look at bore size vs GT350… 104.3mm vs 94 for the Shelby. Bigger bore, bigger valves, shorter stroke and higher redline = more HP. Your move Ford.
Don't disagree but after 6 years of continued development of Chevrolet working on this project I would hope that they have learned something.

Keep in mind that the increased Lb/Ft torque for the 5.5L Z06 versus the 5.2L Voodoo is only 7% therefore that is somewhat surprising based on 6 additional years of Chevrolet engineering and development.

Ford will not be making any upcoming moves with respect to an upcoming FPC ICE.

pushrod does not have to be heavy. That's just laziness or being cheap.

Very true. Incorrect thinking on my part. DOHC are usually heavier actually.
I guess I thought heavy because I had the Challenger in my mind at the time.

I just saved someone a lot of money by ruining the C8 for them. You're welcome.
If I were to buy one, I'd put a big craft store googly eye and a fish decal on it.

Will these be limited production? Were past Z06's and ZR1's limited production?

I still think C7 looks better, but you can't argue with base C8 performance envelope. Now Z06 would just shred whatever base C8 can do.

I think C8 Z06 could looks more aggressive, that aside....I think it's awesome. I never care for Corvette, I always see it as a cheap performance car (except for the classic and C7)....but I do want this C8 Z06.

I'm actually thinking about selling the GT350 and get C8 Z06, if I can get one, lol. Chevy can't make enough base C8, we are still in chip shortage crisis, we will have magnesium shortage coming up very soon....not to mentions there will be massive marked up on C8 Z06.

I read somewhere that starting will be around $85k, another $20k-$30k in options and higher trim level, maybe $30k mark up...I'll be surprise if a well equipped ones go for less than $150K

I highly doubt they will actually be available below 120k until like 2025 and with like 40k miles

Just a guess but guess that the Z06 package will be an additional ~$30,000 over the Base car and the Z07 package (CF wheels, Cup 2 R tires, splitter, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, etc.) may be another ~$25,000.

Add a few more options such as optional paint and a convertible option and the MSRP gets up there pretty quick especially when the ADM's get added on by the Chevrolet dealerships.

My understanding is that these 5.5L FPC engines will be hand built in Bowling Green and a signed plaque by the engine builder will be placed somewhere in the engine bay.

Not sure if a chassis plate will be in place for these models such as is the case with the 2022 CT5 V-Series Blackwing cars?

Yep, the GT350 engine and even the Coyote were always budget attempts constrained by having to use modular architecture and tooling. Nothing wrong with that of course, since it keeps costs down. But this is what happens when GM throws money at a problem.
