There is actually a guy that did that.
If I had an auto, I'd go fancy like that. But since I have a manual, I'll just mount it wherever it's most convenient.

Here’s a good spot for your switch. This is where I mounted my transmission fluid pump switch.

A version of this would be cool and obviously a lot more work:

Only mentioning it as it appears different to the one posted further up this thread :like:

Hey WD, can you take a pic of your actual dyno plug?

It looks different now to when Ford supplied it.

Mine looked like it had been wrapped by a child so I neatened it up a little :

That decal I took off was wrapped clyindically around the wires under the origonal sleeving (hence it's crease pattern) :like:

@WildHorse Check out this tech thread from @kz which was posted a while back; you're seeing what was confirmed by him when he was doing canbus research for race data.

I followed and used @kz thread as well. Very good info.

OP, that image is normal. ABS still works, brakes function exactly the same plugged in or not. Apart from zero TC, the car functions exactly the same. I think drag mode might stop working, or at least the Launch Control / Brake stand mode.

I pulled mine long ago after having serious issues with power loss when the car went through quick transitions. The car was no where near it's limits, just that there was enough wheel spin that the nannies thought I was losing control. Freaking Ford protecting me from myself LOL

Yeah, mine looks like it was poorly wrapped too and could stand to be tidied up a bit.

I followed your lead just now WD and cleaned mine up too. It also had the sticker, with the same part number as yours, wrapped around it underneath the split wire loom.

So when I am pulling I am getting the steering assist fault service required message on my 17 Mustang GT with performance package. Can others confirm they get this each time the dyno plug is pulled? And is there any repercussions from that happening?

I actually don’t remember for certain what messages and warnings I got. I can say that there are no repercussions from this, other than Line Lock and Launch Control will be inoperative until it’s plugged back up. The lights and warnings will clear themselves.
