Magnetic Drain Plug in the GT?

Does anyone know if the Mustang comes with a magnetic oil drain plug from the factory? I tried searching and couldn't find anything mentioned.

I usually install one in all the vehicles I get ... and would on the GT too, unless it already has one.

Cylinder sleeves, piston rings, cams and valvetrain parts aren't aluminum....all will generate a bit of ferrous material in the oil over time.

I personally think they are more gimmick than functional. The mustang engines are also mostly aluminum these days, with very little steel/iron. The other metals also are likely not 100% magnetic either, and with such a small magnet in a large oil pan, it is hard to know if they really do any good and how much metallic dust etc, the mustang actually has in the oil.

The oil filter also picks this stuff up, people seem to imply that metal shavings go back into your engine via the oil and this magical plug prevents that. The plug can't hurt anything, but I think it's more gimmick or perhaps more useful on other engines. If they were that helpful they would be an OEM part.

True, block & heads are aluminum. But I'm pretty sure the rings are running against a steel cylinder sleeve, crank, (not sure about the rods), cam's & valves are steel. Mag drain plug...cheap insurance if you ask me.

Does anyone know the thread size of the oil pan drain plug in the 5.0L Coyote?

I'd like to find a good magnetic drain plug and install it at the first oil change. Anyone know a good source for a quality magnetic drain plug?
