Just got done installing the ATM intercooler yesterday!

Kept the motor to the active grill shutters plugged in so no CEL and installed the GT upper grille while the bumper was off

Wow... It blows the mishimoto unit out the water I knew theyre considered to be in different classes but still, the recovery is insane and the delta pre and post pull are minimal were talking a few degrees; I highly recommend it!

Well after 1 month with the mishimoto intercooler I can say this mod should definitely be your first mod. In the past i've ran the car with just a tune and it was great, now im only running a the intercooler but no tune and its even better .. obviously with both its gonna get even better. this time around im gonna be patient with the EB, bolt ons first tune last. :D

You guys seen or heard of the new Wagner intercooler?
I just saw a install video on YouTube. From modbargains I believe. It looks huge.

Get a big one. Trust me. If you drive a lot during the day, even an upgraded single tier intercooler will heatsoak like crazy.

I love my MAP Street intercooler.
the only thing I disagree with Adam on is the stock intercooler being OK. It is not fit for purpose at all even on a stock unmodded car in any kind of warm weather. It is deliberately designed to be restrictive, I saw much better and more efficient designs on Japanese turbo cars back in the Early 90's or over 20 years ago.

Even being cheap is no excuse for how that thing is designed, they could have made it much better at no extra cost but they wanted to keep more headroom for the GT.

Is there an intercooler i can get for around 300?
The only other mods I will be doing is a high flow filter (maybe a full CAI)
Adam E tune bov and spark plugs

From a vendor I'm not aware of one that cheap,
Your best bet would be to check the classified/ Facebook ecoboost page every day one is bound to pop up for $350 or so

Im not bad mouthing the company or your products. What gets me, is the fact that I PM'd you and you clearly stated if I ordered that day, we are looking at 2 weeks. If you read the PM I sent you and your reply you will see Im not making this up. Well its been past 2 weeks and now Im calling your contact line and now Im told an additional 3 weeks from today.
Again, I being that I work for Ford service department, understand when stuff gets on backorder how frustrating it is to a customer, but we deal with huge number of customers and find ways to let them know updates. And that's something that maybe can be worked on by your company. Always strive for customer service to be on the top notch level. Again, maybe Im rambling and maybe I should PM you about this, but all I would like was an update from time to time to make sure everything is on schedule or is behind.
Anyways, Im not trying to be a jerk either.. I will leave it at that.
Quick question since you work on the Ford Service Dept.
Installing an IC would void the warranty?

I wouldn't say it's "OK" either, but didn't want to hurt feelings, nor imply your car will melt an intake manifold without upgrading it. I do think it is one of the most under designed intercoolers since the early 90's. :) Thank you for watching and the feedback! I tend to withdraw some brutal honesty in my public things, but maybe the update video coming shortly will give some MAP edge back onto it ;)

I knew you were trying to be nice, but people do need to know how bad the stock one is, While the MAP street intercooler is a massive upgrade, the stock one is so bad I urge people to consider it a cost of ownership or mandatory repair rather than upgrade.
