ambient temps were at 90 degrees, with 40% humidity
charge temps didnt help (around 120-130) and the best I could do was 13.1 on the 1/4 with e30 tune+ (non transmission tuned) on street tires.
had a friend who is much more experienced give it a go and the best he could pull...
Im not a mechanic so I will not explain the mechanical aspects, i'll tell you however i experienced heavy clicking especially under throttle.
this was fixed after replacing the plugs. the factory spark plugs were anywhere from .20 to .33.
it takes 30 minutes to check. you do you though...
I wont sit here and try to convince you that its the plugs, but i invite you to do some digging in this forum. search "clicking" and you will see that plugs can be the fix, not always but theres a possiblity. The ecoboost from the factory has frequent cases of plugs being unproperly gapped...

i doubt its the brand of the plugs but its possible you could have gotten a bad plug. i'd order a...
anyone got any before and after times?
Im going to run my car at the track without the transmission tuning upgrade this friday, im on e30 tune+. hopefully I can get into the 12's. i'll upgrade to the transmission tune shortly thereafter.
I find it very petty to blame the tuner on a blown engine considering the known stigma that comes with owning an ecoboost in regards to reliability. This especially after I've noticed you barely created your profile yesterday after blowing your engine.
Practically all pro tuners out there have...
In that texas heat I would certainly get a bigger intercooler than a cpe. I have a mishimoto intercooler which is ok, however on the dyno by the 3rd pull im heat soaked.
You should either go with a custom tune using your accessport device or go back to stock. With the cobb stage 1 "canned tune" you are more than likely running it without any datalogging. Use the search function if you want to know more about datalogging or custom tuning.
