This was also about 103 degrees on the dash when I made that power. People in states in the north that are 10-20 degrees less would make more power. The Tune+ Dyno reads below most other dynos as well.
Like the DSS quite a bit works well and helps the car rev into higher RPM's quicker besides the safety factor of not having to worry about breaking it. Does pick up a little bit of gear whine noise but I've got a lot of stop the hop mods on my car as well that also pick it up. the Turbo Back...
This is Texas weather so it was 103 degrees and about 120-130 charge temps on the pull. Imagine what it will do in cooler weather. This thread is intended to show how much more power you can make if you upgrade your to a reasonable downpipe when upgrading your turbo. This is Maperformance Catted...
Works fine. I went from MAP CAI to Airaid tube, stock ford box, and drop-in green filter. It does a lot better then the MAP CAI I had.
Agreed nothing you can do when car is at a stand still. AC has such a huge affect on the CATs as well. Drove home yesterday with Windows down and noticed...
Now that I'm running the Vargas S2 I am noticing about a 10-15 degree higher charge air temps especially at idle. Do you guys wrap your downpipe or even look at a turbo blanket? Is that worthwhile or a waste of money. It is only mid 90's in TX with close to 60% humidity. Going to be close to 100...
That's correct if it was about 70 degrees I'd be right at or near 400hp
Adam also mentioned that he could see backpressure restricting power as well with my downpipe which could be up to maybe 20 extra hp. But the fact is I was 130 CATs on the dyno so that ate up a lot of power.
I'm very...
Impressions.
Dyno tuned on e85 at 95 degrees and 45% humidity I made 365whp and close to 400 tq with 135+ Charge air temps. Texas heat got me. Seems low but the same dyno had a customer on e30 running 320(No idea what his bolt-ons are) I had asked for a competitive tune, but also safe.
I can...
Thanks to this thread the popping and clicking at low speeds is resolved.
At 120lbs I got a good 2 full turns, at 150lbs I got another 1.5 turns. My issue was popping at low speed take off, and a clicking noise on low speed deceleration. Noticeable mainly when in gear. MT tranny. I thought it...
Don't kill me for this generic question. I have a good complete engine right now that I've ran e30 in all year long without any issues or any bad symptoms (knocking on wood). If I wanted something that could handle 600 hp and nothing more what type of price range should I realistically expect...
BP is supposed to be good. Have you tried another gas station like Valero, Chevron? There are other top tier gasoline manufacturers to try(Google Top Tier and you'll get a list). What do you ignition corrections look like as those are gauges you'll want to monitor. I assume you are using an...
