Taillights - Bad Design?

Those taillights are gonna be a nightmare to clean, it looks like a terrible place to get wax on/off towards the bottom + dirt will accumulate in the tight spaces-->:shrug:<--Wonder if those Brush car washes (I never use them) would get strands caught in the crevices or using a California Duster.

I now see what that one reference to "canned goods ridges" talks about. Hard to clean, no doubt about it, but the style makes it worth it to me.

So to me it almost looks like the outside of the light is completely smooth. Those "steps," or "can ridges" look to be cut on the inside. Shouldn't be too hard to clean. I will reserve judgment until I touch the car though....

Guess I came off wrong...I like the LOOK of the tails...I was just pointing out the little space on the bottom of the bars, it will be a problem for people like me (perfectionist's) who will have to use Q-Tips to meet my standard of Clean...The older I get, the more I appreciate "K_I_S_S"!!

Hope you're exaggerating. Even so, most people do a horrible job at washing their cars and that includes hand washing too frequently. For the sake of the Mustangs, I hope Mustang owners can get familiar with best practices in maintaining their paint.

I don't really care about cleaning the tails, there is a way to clean anything. I like the design and looks like you can get a cloth in there just fine.

I see cars straight of dealer lots looking like that and worse. I am a detail nut. I didn't get to full detail my ingot silver '14 until three months after I got it because that is an all-day affair with the level of attention and the fact the sealant glaze takes three coats and about an hour to cure per coat. My parents showed up at my driveway when I was just about finished and my mom said it looked better than when it was new. That makes me sad.
