I am a detail nut. I didn't get to full detail my ingot silver '14 until three months after I got it because that is an all-day affair with the level of attention and the fact the sealant glaze takes three coats and about an hour to cure per coat. My parents showed up at my driveway when I was just about finished and my mom said it looked better than when it was new. That makes me sad.
You're doing it right, Sir. :clap2:

Hope you're exaggerating. Even so, most people do a horrible job at washing their cars and that includes hand washing too frequently. For the sake of the Mustangs, I hope Mustang owners can get familiar with best practices in maintaining their paint.

Even this brand new 'Stang, just washed for photos no doubt, is the victim of poor wash practices. Look at the fine swirl marks.

While I agree that people must practice the proper washing practices, those that actually drive their cars will inevitably get minor scratches and chips from road debris and the like. After a certain point, super good washes and detailing sessions only work to show the flaws and imperfections.

It looks like the taillight ridges are on the inside.
Here is the part I'm talking about, it looks like the cupped black part sticks out and is not flush/enclosed making for a dirt trap below it + the red taillight block has another dirt trap between it and the cupped part, Hope I'm wrong-->

I have my car hand washed once per week and waxed every 3 months. I'm sure the guys will keep my car awesomely clean, including my tail lights. If that's not enough, they are open 7 days per week and I have a 13 year old son. They will be kept clean.

As a note, when the 2011 came out, the rear was my least favorite part (I rather like it now) on this car the rear 3/4 is my favorite view. Sexy Sexy Sexy. I never knew I was an A$$ man. I was always into large beautiful headlights!? Go figure!

I also like the taillights... didn't think i did at first look, but I do. But my favorite view is the side/front.. very sleek and no more window pillar

Yes they have to be.

I love the tail lights. There's some really close up pics and the level of detail on these is really nice. The ribbing effect gives it a nice look even when not lit.

Not as watermelony as I feared :)

Those taillights are gonna be a nightmare to clean, it looks like a terrible place to get wax on/off towards the bottom + dirt will accumulate in the tight spaces--><--Wonder if those Brush car washes (I never use them) would get strands caught in the crevices or using a California Duster.

My exact thoughts when I first saw the closeup pics of the tail lights. I'm one of the most anal retentive car washer on the planet so I guess I'll be getting the q-tips out to clean all the crevices. I do like the way they look though.

I like the design of the taillights but does anyone know if they are still sequential?
