After an hour and a half trying to line the brace up I can't get the front bolts to thread through. I can get the passenger side in but the drive side is off so slightly. I've tried to muscle it in with no success. Has anybody else had this issue?

Stupid idea but hey... tried flipping it upside down? Sometimes things are not 100% symmetrical :)

Did you torque the other side down all the way?

Are you referring to the back bolts or the opposing front bolt? I just put the other front bolt in with a few turns to get it to stay while I tried getting the driver side in

1. Make sure the brace in not bent.
2. Flip it and see if it installs the other way.
3. start with the front or back first, or try one side only.
4. check car frame and make sure that's aligned.
5. Call Steeda and ask for help.

In a rare chance the brace could be bent, I have this installed on mine and the rear sub frame brace, all installed without issues.

If the above suggestions do not work ... please give us a call at 1800-950-0774 & we can have one of the installers try & troubleshoot it. We open tomorrow at 8:00 a.m.

Best Regards,

TJ

Thanks guys. I'll be sure to follow the steps posted next weekend when I get back into town. How do I check if the frame is aligned?

Hey did you try starting the bolt in that hole first - leaving it loose and then doing the next one?

Yes I started with that bolt in a few threads but the back braces sat high and I couldn't get it align properly. If that makes any sense

My GT did not have the the threaded head up front and after waiting a week to hear from Steeda who said someone would call me I bought a washer and lock nut.

Hopefully my February build car still has it. Looks like Steeda needs to add some nuts and washers with the kit. I only hope it's as effective that away as it was with threads in the frame.
