Should my CB005 be crooked like this?

I'm sitting here working on another project, and just noticed my (apparently knockoff) BMR subframe braces dont seem to be sitting flush to the subframe. Is this correct, or do I need to redo this?

They do offer it in a hammertone finish as well, but more black in color than gray.

Yes the original BMR hammertone set I had a few years back was closer to a black than gray. As far as I know also, BMR doesn’t sell any other color than the red or the hammertoe one.

It’s possible someone had their set powder coated another color - but only OP can answer if they bought that silver/gray set new or used.

I had the same issue with my driver's side BMR CB005. I sent BMR pictures telling them the angle on the fwd end long arm mount plate side angle is IS OFF and so the aft cradle bolt end of brace will not bolt flush. They said they would fix this "COMMON" issue customers have had front day one (search you tube for these complaints). They never fixed the angle.

I called them out 6 years ago over the exact same issue. We removed the arms placed on surface plate, measured with height gauge and digital level. The difference between the left and right was drastic.
The OEM stamped braces are exact mirror images and dimensionally the same.

I successfully installed their CB762 on one car but couldn't get it to line up on mine. Had to sell it. Thankfully the fellow didn't contact me to complain so I assume it fit his car. Strange.

I bought it secondhand but unused, but am suspecting it may have been a knockoff based on this thread.

The driver's side was definitely off by more. I managed to get it all lined up by taking tension off the bolts and running them back in a cross pattern, then incrementally torquing to 10% over spec.

I've used them for many other cars(notably all GM products) with great success on track, but after an issue with another part for this car I purchased directly from them, and the subsequent customer service, I'm inclined to look elsewhere going forward.
