Isn’t the power train warranty 60k miles?Like you I'm on the fence right now. I bought the extended warranty so that makes me lean towards keeping the warranty in tack. But I am putting the Ford performance tune on it.
What I like to call the ford bullitt tune. Now I realize this could squash my extended warranty but I doubt ford wants to prove their parts caused the failure. My dealer told me that any other type of aftermarket tune would void the warranty but they said there not in the business of screwing their customers so they said if you return it to the stock tune there not going to be looking to cause problems again if it's a major failure and a ford rep gets involved that changes everything. So I guess for now I'm going with the ford tune and when my 36000 miles rolls around I may just put a procharger stage 2 kit on it not to make it a track car just to make it fun. I've already done wheels, tires and a bunch of steeda suspension parts. The extended warranty will still be good on all but the drivetrain. I still have more steeda parts to get but there's time for that. Good luck in whatever you decide to do and enjoy your car.
