RUST 19Bullitt OR ?

Any thoughts I don't know what to think of this I just realized last night in my driver door hinge just wanted some opinions mine is blank is it something to be questioned....thanks all

Has your car been in the elements a lot? Looks like you should be able to remove the pin in the portion that bolts to the door jamb. Sand as much rust off of the parts as you can, hit them with a rust inhibiting black paint and reinstall. I can’t tell from the bottom, but it may have a circlip holding the pin in place.

After you clean up the rust you can add these little snap on covers for hinge and the latch: Amazon Link kinda pricy for what they are but they finish the look.

Unfortunately it's common, especially on the UK (damp environment) cars ...

Clean, grease, and then cover them as per the above post

I did mine from new as I knew what was in store for me if I didn't ...

I've never investigated the topic, but doesn't Ford offer a Corrosion related warranty of 5 or more yrs?

Or am I just imaging this
...Maybe it's just on the emissions related components... I fail to remember now.

Is the car near saltwaterp?

If it is in a "wet" environment, you can do a light coating of grease over the metal part and do as noted above - get the cover caps (I have them too).

I could be wrong but I think sadly that corrosion related warranty is primarily for body panels with actual perforated corrosion. I know they try to fight this especially when it came to the hoods and doors with rust spots/bubbling/paint flaking off and they would try to hide behind saying it is not severe enough.

LOL I mean if it were applicable to rusty bolts, screws and hinges I think our northern friends in the rust belt could bankrupt Ford with all those claims.

For my understanding, there was a series of bad plated door check straps.
Replace it (like I did) and you are good to go.
In any case, get these covers, they ad the little extra detail that Ford has kept from us.
