I lost .2 at the strip. I don't know why, maybe I had a shit X pipe.
.2 can be attributed to many things more likely to cause a slower time and I know you know that.

It was the X pipe. It wasn't just a one test thing. This was over several months. After I switched to the H it averaged .2 better over several months.

It was probably the design and I dont want to spend 300 plus for 50 in tubing to try another design.

One like this is what I tried.

I should imagine that a H is the most consistent across the brands - assuming the crossover being full bore.

The X has a lot of variation from the short type that you had, to the longer X but with (annoyingly) misaligned pipes and finally the longer style X but with nicely aligned pipes.

I went with a H, but didn’t vote as I’m a GT :like:

I'm running the Borla Switchfire. X on top & straight on bottom. Nothing but good compliments on sound.

Hi! I’m curious about what everyone is doing about resonator deletes in the Mach 1. I love the sound when rpms are over 4k, but would love some more V8 sounds down low (H-Pipe would be my choice) while keeping the active exhaust.

Steeda’s H-Pipe is a steal right now, so I’m close to pull the trigger soon.
Thanks!
Went with the FPP X-pipe. Sounds great, love it, but the sound level has gone up close to a whole level in each sound level setting.

Steeda x-pipe. I prefer the sound over the h-pipe which puts me in the minority. As said above each setting now sounds a full setting louder.

Corsa HH Pipe and I'm about as close to regretting it as you can get. Nothing wrong with the Corsa HH pipe, I just think I preferred the stock resonator more.

H pipes give you a little deeper sound, more muscle, x will be a little more raspy.

Let us know if we can help at all with either

I feel the same way. So much so, I've canceled and requested an RMA for my one-off fabrication attempt at an exhaust. My ears are bleeding from listening to so many exhaust videos recently. The H, the HH, the X, the XX, the Switchfire, the home-brew, the everything... Every time I hear the stock vs. after sounds - I just think it's so in tune with what I prefer.

I have Kooks headers and cats, but stock resonator and mufflers. You can hear the cold start comparison on my new YouTube video:

If this thread doesn’t tell you, it’s almost 100% personal preference as some even much prefer stock over anything else. I was happy with the stock sound, but that doesn’t mean I won’t look for a little extra. Over the weekend I installed the Steeda H-pipe and to me it made a huge difference, much more than I was expecting. It’s hard to tell from the videos which seemed a bit different than stock and maybe a tad louder, but somewhat hard to tell a big difference. In person the difference is amazing and just what I needed personally for what I like. I always used track mode before and still do because it’s a muscle car, why tone it down?! Haha but it’s nice to still be able to make it quiet when necessary.

I'm currious... why? And what does this sound like?
I have tried X pipes on both my 2018 GT and this car, and did not like the sound of it at all. But I also don’t like raspiness and wanted to try to tone down the harshness of the H pipe. I would always rather have it a little bit to tame than a little bit too harsh. Love the way it sounds, do not plan on changing it.
