130 KMH (or 80.7 MPH) is an automatic loss of license for a month
145 KMH (90.09 MPH) is an automatic 3 months
Over here, you can get caught out of city limits with 25 mph (40 km/h, after deducting measuring tolerances!) over speedlimit once a year without walking for a month but ~230 € fines.
Maximum penalty is for more than 43mph (70 km/h) over speedlimit with 3 mounth walking and ~750€ fines.
You also collect penalty points, but you have to be stupid (some are) for this to be critical.
Confiscation or imprisonment is only possible if you commit a criminal offense while speeding, which e.g. can be racing, endangerment, etc.
Normal speedlimit on county roads is 62 mph (100 km/h).
Normally you drive 10km/h too fast according to the speedometer, the speed cameras do not yet go off. That means 68 mph (110 km/h) on the country road without anyone itching.
But once a year caught on country roads with 87 mph is ok.
Same fines on Autobahn with speedlimit, usually limited to 75 (120) or 80 mph (130 km/h).
But there are sections without a limit, such as a 60 mls three-lane section 'in front of my porch'.

My 1 and only traffic violation was on my motorcycle. I had no idea a cop had gone by in the opposite direction and my speeds were varying greatly. I was going anywhere between 80-140 or so. He said he clocked me at 134, however, due to no infractions when he wrote me up he only gave me the speeding ticket so I was not charged with anything else.

At the time I did not know that after paying for an infraction of anything exceeding 100mph is an automatic license suspension for 6 months, so that sucked. There was nothing I could do after the fact since paying the ticket was admitting guilt so I screwed myself. I know better next time though if I need to take something to court just not to pay anything till afterwards.

Also before anyone assumes, yes there were vehicles I was passing but very little traffic on the hwy I was doing this and I was always slowing down when coming up on and passing vehicles (2 lanes of same direction traffic). Forgot to mention, ticket ended up being like $335 or so at the time? Luckily I only worked like 2 miles from work so I just still drove there and never really drove much besides that typically for those months

Should come to CA, it's a free for all with basically zero enforcement. It works surprisingly well for about 99% of the population. The remaining 1% though are fuckin pyschos.

2 lane road with a bike lane and traffic is moving slowly? Just use the bike lane and cruise on by! Use the middle yellow turn lane! Weave through 65mph traffic at 120, no big deal! I've seen people drive on the sidewalk like it was no big deal. It has been years since i've seen people get pulled over by a cop in the city. CHP enforcement can be draconian in certain areas but then you won't see any more enforcement for a few hundred miles. It's kooky.
LOL love it free for all that's the way is should be hahaha. Can finally use superior brakes, directional transitions and power on a daily basis. Even better in a Raptor or 900HP Denali on 2" lift.

Just wear a face mask and sunglasses so they can't ID and issue you a ticket from the endless photo radar. No ID verification no ticket haha.

Gotta follow rules in "rules based order" Germany.

We have interstates with a speed limit of 75mph. So everyone is going 85 or faster...
Most of Australia has a general 100 KMH speed limit, with our major arterial highways 110 KMH, and Northern Territory has 130 KMH on it's majors.
Most in my area will only go about 10 KMH over, as the Highway Patrol will generally give you that much leeway, but the cameras don't.

@K4fxd the money grab is real cost me 600 for a 2 mile tow to the impound and 12 hour store lol I was dumbfounded when I walked up the auction list and seen cars that were there for 30 days had a 4400 storage fee on them smh
It's basically the ultimate poor tax. They're hoping you'll forfeit your car so they can make even more money on it, lol.

In 1991 I bought a new Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo AWD, first brand new car, and was on the PA Turnpike heading back home from Ohio around 10PM in December. Snow was starting and nobody on the road. At the time the speed limit was 55 and I was doing around 80-90 and my radar detector went off. Soon as it did I saw the cop and immediately pulled over just past where he was sitting. He barely had time to turn his lights on, basically just pulled up behind me. He asked why I pulled over and I said well I was speeding and knew you got me so I didn’t want to make any trouble, I just want to make it home before the snow gets too bad. He was kind of stunned for a just a second and said I have to write you a ticket but am going to make it driving too fast for conditions, small fine and no points, could have taken my license for doing 30 over the speed limit. Whew.

Absolutely they got an older gentlemen when I was there. He parked illegally while he was landscaping 1500 cause he couldn’t pay till the week end for his check truck came out with his whacked and mower in the back I just look like wtf. Do the crime do the time I guess but I think we got worse stuff going on here in CA heck yesterday there was a barrage of full auto gunfire out front my truck yard after diving for cover and peaking over the fence guy laying dead in the street apparently they stole his Silverado and he chased them down they layed into him with full auto ARS. I’m trying to trade in the stang for a m1 Abram’s. Apparently they don’t sell these to the public shame.

Full auto in Ca?

I have a few, along with the evil silencers. All 100% legal. I paid the tax and have the proper paperwork.

Like the Author when i see the blue light i pull over immediately then exchange pleasantries. Very rarely have been booked in 42 years of driving. It seems of the all the states & territories in Australia NSW is the most lenient.

Got clocked doing 68 in a 35 zone 1/2 mile from home. I said I had no excuse for my behavior and admitted it was reckless and totally unnecessary. I told him in the two years I lived here I had observed his surveillance spot many times. I said "good lord this will end up costing me a fortune". He returned to say he would issue a warning for 2 reasons. How close I was to home?? My clean driving record. He then said he loved my tag and chuckled. Now I wave to him when I pass.

I got pulled over for 144 in a 70 at South of the Border in SC back in 2001. He was a really cool cop and was in a pursuit Camaro. He ended up writing my buddy and I for 96 in a 70 as that is what he first clocked us at. I was on a Yamaha R6 and in full tuck. Couldn't hear or see him behind me until I pulled off of 95 to go to Myrtle Beach and he pulled up next to me waiving for me to pull over. I thought for sure I was going to jail and getting Court Marshalled for being so far from Post without my Captains permission. Ended up being a GREAT weekend! Still ended up losing my license for a year over the 96 in a 70. LOL
