When I lived in Chicago I never got a ticket. Because cops are too busy chasing murderers and gangbangers to care about 22 over.
Things have gotten a lot better WRT traffic enforcement around here now that the police are understaffed. Frankly, I would prefer to live in a world where the cops have a little extra time on their hands.

I wish there was a spot localish to me to work out my 60-130 times. Only need 15-20 seconds to get up to speed and back down again. But feels like a lifetime.

Phew! That's a lucky encounter there! I have yet to have any kind of luck like that!

Got a criminal court summons from a cop a few months ago for drag racing. It was due to me spinning the tires leaving a gas station parking lot (sharp left turn out of the parking lot with too much throttle threw the back end out, was trying to make the green light but overdid the throttle a hair). Entire incident lasted about 1 second; all of the tire squeal was from the back end sliding. I wanted to regain traction so I got off the hammer ASAP. Motorcycle cop was in the opposing parking lot across the intersection and pulled me over and threatened to arrest me for reckless driving and impound my car and take away my license. But since my record was clean (I've never been pulled over before), he wrote me a class C misdemeanor charge for drag racing under the guise of "exhibition of acceleration". I had no fine as I had a mandatory court date to appear before a judge for sentencing.

Luckily I had my dashcam running and caught the entire incident. Hired a lawyer to get the charge reduced to a non-moving violation. He sent the video to the prosecutor and luckily got it reduced. $239 fine plus $255 for the lawyer.

Hopefully the last time I ever spend $550 for a gas station trip!

Blame the street take over crowd for over zealous cops. Some are just jerks. I was in Bossier for several years, there was a cop every corner. They had nothing better to do except harass people.

I cringe at all the Chargers they wrecked. Back then we had no idea they would be worth so much money today. I remember being able to buy them for 500 bucks.

Yep! I couldn't agree more with you on that! That's exactly what I chalked it up to. I'm 28 years old, so I was certain he was assuming I was a part of that crowd. I was very polite with the officer, notified him of my conceal carry permit, was talkative, etc. Just a "wrong place, wrong time" moment.

I don't like street takeovers, never been to any, don't want anything to do with that nonsense. They're popular in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. Yep, I've heard similar stories about Bossier City.

What REALLY makes me lucky is that they passed a bill this went into effect this month (Senate Bill 220) saying the police can impound your car for up to 14 days for "evidence" in the event you're charged with "drag racing"...the same thing I was charged with! Luckily, I wasn't pulled over this month or else I'd have possibly been without my car for 14 days!

About 12 years ago my wife and I were returning home from a trip to South FL on us70 when we came upon a group of cars poking along at the posted speed limit of 60mph, for those of you not familiar with that road, it is a wide flat strait 2 lane that crosses FL east west, I had been on cruise at 65 up until then with little to no traffic...being slowed to 60 was beginning to annoy me so I took a look ahead and saw the lead vehicle in the pack was a white pickup and the road was clear to the horizon, so naturally I signaled out and lit the burner on my CTS-V by the time I passed the white pickup my wife announced that I had just passed a Sherriff at over 100mph...he proceeded to follow me until there was a safe place to pull over, which I did by then he had run my plate and knew I had a valid CWP and no warrants or violations and that I was a local so I got a verbal warning and a laugh from him when I asked about his Dodge pickup "is that a hemi", he knew what a V was and complimented me on it, OBTW,it was my wife's car.

That’s a real deal picture right there…
The incredible part is most all the Chargers used and destroyed during filming were mostly all from the Los Angeles area.

Not saying to do this but if there's 0 chance they got your tag and you're already doing 130 you may as well hammer down haha
