Is it safe to floor it at 100+ iats (on e85 if that matters)? When I'm idling at a light with open space in front of me I can't help but floor it but my iat's are like 110

and does more timing get added the cooler it gets? like at 60 vs 80 vs 100 degrees

I don't know the answer for sure, but a quick search from 2017 says 100 is when it switches from adding timing to pulling timing. 110 is 1 degree pulled. My butt dyno also says its a slidey scale.

I also have floored it over 100 IATs regularly, I do live in Texas after all, no problems so far. But i have a 22 as well, 30k on the odo though. Since it pulls timing, i think it's fine to floor it, you won't damage anything any more than other, lower temps. Just wont be as fast since the motor is less aggressive. Now excessive CHTs would be another story.

coolios, my cht are usually 210-220 max. Does e85 lower cht since it cools the cylinders if I read correctly?

Your fuel does in fact matter! 110 degree IAT is insanely safe on E85 since E has amazing anti knock capabilities. You’re more likely to see ping with high IATs and pump gas, but 110 degree IAT isn’t crazy at all.

I feel good now lol. I'm on the stock cai and never see above 120 even idling in 100 degs 60% humidity

While E does lower combustion temps it’s not going to have much of a measurable impact on coolant temps.

Yeah 110 IAT is nothing to be worried about. Now 140 degrees would be a different story. Fall is my favorite time of year for driving for many many reasons :like:

I Run E85 here in Houston and in the afternoon the IAT's are pretty high in stop and go traffic. The CHT's are still normal. Flooring from a stand still engages my butt dyno and the butt dyno says minimal torque loss. My traction control still kicks in with high IAT's on the quarter mile stretch of road in my avatar...So still plenty of torque available in the summer heat.
