Yeah based on that video, I'd take those out and just do J-pipes. The resonated X really controls the rasp, so taking those out will just give it a little more aggressiveness and kill the drone.Yep! We will see how the system ages and then go from there. I might swap out the mini bullets for something else as well but we shall see.
That mic was not happy Interesting setup, though. It sounds nice!Sound Clips! Mic did a terrible job of capturing the sound but at least it gives you an idea. Much deeper tone in person.
So there is some drone right at 2K up to 2.25K RPM. Not terrible but it is there. Can look into eliminating it down the road with some resonators but it is not something I feel I need to do right now.
MagnaFlow You might want to look into this.... My fee is low...
Yea everyone is ok. Wife was not in the car thankfully. Not sure why the side curtain airbag blew. Only thing I can think of is that it was a slight off center impact. Was only going about 30 MPH but as you can see, the front end slid underneath the other car (Chrysler Town and Country). Looks like the rad was pushed all the way back into the engine but can't quite tell. Airbox and engine cover destroyed, possibly intake manifold damage as well. Going to be doing a bit of investigation today before the adjuster comes out to see the full extent of the damage. Sucks that I just did an oil change on Sunday....Oh no!! You (and the wife) are ok??
Unfortunately probably totaled but you never know. It may be just under.
Thanks for the comments. I hope so too. Took the car apart a bit yesterday.... Radiator was pushed all the way back into the engine. That being said, I couldn't see any obvious signs of damage on the engine. Upper frame rail on passenger side is buckled all the way back to the shock tower. Could have tweaked the tower. Main wiring harness is destroyed along with PCM and fuse box. Amazing the HVAC still had a charge so the condenser was not punctured even though is mangled to hell and back.Sorry to see this man, was looking forward to more progress on this and your unique exhaust setup. Hope it all works out well for you.
