  1. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Depends on how you define finalized... I have a tune that runs the 7.3 like a 7.3 (as opposed to a modified coyote tune) with transmission tuning at an acceptable level now (shift tables had to be tweaked for the lower redline). I need to figure out this WOT lean condition though as it pulls a...
  2. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

I have actually been driving it daily for the past few weeks! From a personal preference standpoint, I will be swapping out the exhaust and coilovers over the next few weeks. Exhaust drones a bit to much so the mufflers will be getting swapped (borla pro XS most likely). The coilovers are not...
  3. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

AC charged and works! The AC system from a mechanical standpoint is 2006 spec with the compressor and hard lines (no variable compressor, no expansion valve) From an electrical standpoint it’s 2018 (one pressure sensor and an evap core temperature sensor) Working great! (So far…)
  4. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Ok putting this out there... Does anyone here happen to have a 2023+ F250 7.3 (needs to be 2023 and up) and an HPT device? I am looking for the stock tune from a 2023 7.3. 2023 and up models use the bullitt throttle body. I am in the process of rebuilding the tune to run the 7.3 as a 7.3...
  5. Bullitt or GT350 Throttle Body?

Not exactly... Physically yes, electronically no. If your car is a 2016 and already has the TB then it is a GT350 TB. Bullitt TBs are for 18+ electronics.
  6. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Working on completing the dash trim. 3D printed dash caps covered in vinyl to start. The top of the dash is going to be the challenging part...
  7. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Wow that’s way more expensive than I was expecting… Aftermarket it is!
  8. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

I don't have stock mounts so the engine does not move much at all. The clearance should be more than adequate. And it actually does not. The hood on the S197s are pretty solid.
  9. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

    Yes it does. Barely…
  10. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Custom strut tower brace! Boss 302 brace clears the engine but not the hood. Had to remake the center section to get it lower. (Note: Not final welds/painted)

    Just warming up the tires…
  14. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Fuel pump should arrive this week. After install I should be able to get more driving videos. Mostly been working on getting it through Maryland inspection for full registration of which it has passed as of last week!
  15. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Yeah the thing I have learned with this project is that even though the table might exist, that doesn’t necessarily change the PCM logic (at least for Ford).
  16. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

You would think but it is not that simple...
  17. S197 Hybrid - 2006 Mustang with S550 guts

Well another interesting discovery… Gen 1/2 max fuel pressure is 4 bar (58psi) set by an internal regulator on the fuel hat. Gen 3 max fuel pressure is 6 bar (87psi) set by a similar regulator. What this means is I need to change out my fuel pump assembly for a Gen 3 unit. PCM is expecting 6 bar...
  18. Maryland GT350 5.2 Cylinder heads

Note: These were taken before heading to the machine shop.
