I have put two of these on a s550 with no shroud and they move more than enough air that you do not need a shroud. They are very powerful

Yea I think this is the route I will go with for fans. I can't find a good two fan shroud so I will most likely just run two of these without a shroud. I'm still hoping the bottom air dam will make a noticeable difference though.

Thanks for the info

On your set up I would probably just run the fans right on the radiator

Alright guys im running out of ideas at this point. I installed the lower air dam and also installed a aftermarket coolant temperature gauge and took the car for a drive. Cylinder heads still got to 235 and coolant was around 225. And that was only a 15 minute drive without even getting into boost. Just cruising.

Did you do a block test? Go to napa or an auto parts store and buy one.

Have you ever pulled it through the gears as it’s getting hot to see if the temp levels off or drops by chance?

Yes butI let off once it reached 258 degrees. Didn't want to chance hurting it. But it showed no signs of leveling off

When it is hot have you checked the lower radiator hose to see if it is hot or cold.
You ether have fans Turing the wrong way or thermostat is not open or your intercooler is plugged or air in the system. Do you keep topping it off and seriously take out the thermostat. If taking out the thermostat doesn’t stop it from overheating take pictures of everything. Even if you think it something doesn’t matter take pictures and post them. If removing the thermostat fixes it then we have a answer.
Tell me there’s no chance that your thermostats in backwards or in the wrong spot
