I keep finding things in the parameter list and saying "Doh! I really needed that 6 months ago!" Or a year ago. Or 2 years ago.

The fuel line volume
Flex learning lambda time constant
VCT proportional and integral gain
VCT rate vs error
VCT deviation from OP to stop using OP
DI pressure relief control
Mapped point weight
Hundreds more...

That table trace in the logging could be a game-changer as well. I'm super excited about this.

This might be a dumb question but with the multi tune do you lose cruise control?

No, have a look at some of the videos. You turn cruise control off to activate the tune select so your cruise control functions as normal.

Table tracing and all of the datalogging features are available for everyone in all packages.

Interested if you guys can get the no lift shift figured out in the frpp2/3 tunes. Drops and holds 5000rpm on shift if gas is kept to the floor during clutch in. I'll send a read in for the mt82 in a few days.

Love the trace over table. Miss stuff like that from standalone logging. Live read and write is next..

Add another one to the list....

I was struggling with Bank1 exhaust cam VCT control due to the larger HPFP. Well....PCMTec has a table mapped for VCT duty cycle adder as a function of GDI fuel flow. Boom.

I might have to ask this at PCM's forum but has anyone figured how to transfer completed HP tunes to PCM format? I think the only way is to flash the car and then read with PCM.

I read on their forum that it is too expensive, like 1K per car, so all tuners said not to do it.

I'd pay it for the ability to live tune my car.

Flash with HPT and read with PCMTEC…

BUT

Unless you have the Workshop package, or you have a template from the company, you won’t be able to see the data unless you license it. That’s how I understand it from everything I’ve read and done.

Just got back from the shop. It is HUMID. Anyway I flashed one of my race tunes written with HPT. I then read it with PCM and it kept my license.

So my worries are over. Also like Roland said I do have the ability to turn on my o2 sensor, this race tune has them turned off.

It is still using the license from when I licensed my car.

Understood. Wasn’t sure if you’d licensed it or not. That’s great to know.

So as I understand it then: you’ve licensed your car/OS in PCMTEC, edited that file in HPT, flashed it with HPT, re-read it with PCMTEC, and were able to view/edit that file in PCMTEC under the same license for that car/OS/etc?

No.

I read and licensed my car with PCMtec
Then I flashed the car with a race tune I created in HPtuners (flashed with HP)
I then read it with PCMtec and it retained my PCMtec license.

For me this is huge. If it did not keep the license I would have to manually redo several tunes.
