Stuff is insane, I just applied Gyeon Pure on my mustang and love it so probably will just use it when drying. but for her car its perfect. It doesn't get washed a lot and I don't want to spend the time and money applying a full ceramic coating.
She could care less, I ask her if it looks better and got the " why" look :)

Slipstream is catalog product manufactured by B&B blending that is sold under a number of different brands. This includes Adam's Slick n Slide, Ethos Pro Shine, Obsessed Garage Drying Aid and Extreme Solutions Topper, but I'm positive there are more that we don't know of. All share a base formulation with minor variances between the two -

(snip)

So how do these compare to Bead Maker. Firstly, none of them quite match Bead Maker for gloss and slickness, but then not much does. However, they do tend to be easier to apply, requiring less follow up wiping. For example, I can get around a large sedan or medium truck with the use of only one towel. You also use far less product per panel than Bead Maker, usually one or two sprays per panel.

Which one to choose? I prefer the OG version as it doesn't have that staining potential, be that on lighter colored cars or towels. And which between Bead Maker and the Slick n Slide/Pro Shine/Drying Aid/Topper? Considering I'm a gloss and slickness junkie, I would and do gravitate towards Bead Maker. But it's extremely close, they are all winners.
Good deal- I asked as I am almost out of slick-n-slide, and will need to get another bottle in the spring or try another product.

Really liked slick-n-slide for application ease and it did bead well and leave a very slick surface. Will see what my mood is in a few months. Will either give beadmaker a shot or just get the gallon size of slick-n-slide.

DFB and all- from pictures looks like Beadmaker is a mostly clear solution vs. slightly milky emulsion for Slick-N-Slide. Is this correct? Haven't seen it affect performance but I get some phase separation in the Slick-N-Slide and have to shake bottle if it has been sitting more than a month.

Beadmaker is a very pale orange color, has a mango scent...

As mentioned, Bead Maker has an orange colorant, but it doesn't settle or stain like Slick n Slide/Pro Shine does.

D: The gloss on both vehicles is most excellent but I'm curious, which you prefer? I always blow dry so I don't need a drying air, but three quarters of the time, I use BM on the dry paint and Reload about a quarter of the time. BM deepens the paint color as well as making it slicker 'n snot. Reload is a bit more work but definitely lasts longer.

Car still looks great but she would benefit from a Sonax polishing which I hope to get done this Spring, if I can find the energy. :-)

Ahh man! I can't make that decision conclusively, I like them both. :frown:

Bead Maker has that scent though, which is a reason to use it full stop. The noticeable edge in gloss and slickness is so addictive, so would probably be my choice. It sort of has that "just waxed" look to it, which is hard for ceramic sealants to match.

<smiling> I had a feeling you might say that but it's a good thing when more than one product does what you need, well. But I agree, BM's scent is enough for me to give it the nod. Speaking of which, I just remembered that I need to order another gallon.

Ditto on beadmaker, on the advice of dfb5 i began using it as a drying agent, it works great and adds a killer finishing shine.

I just got a bottle of dream maker but seeing as my car is away till spring, i wont be trying it out any time soon… im hoping it is as good as bead maker….

The newest fad is to mix Dream maker and Bead maker. P&S even made a limited run of it. Mixed 10:1 (10 parts BM, 1 part DM). I recently bought some Dream maker and added a splash to my bead maker bottle. Have only used it once so far and I like it. Applies just as nice as BM alone but seems to somewhat alleviate one of the major negatives of Beadmaker which is to attract dust quickly. My car is put away as well, covered in my garage sleeping til warmer weather. :)

From what I can tell Bead maker can attract dust and Dream maker has some sort of antistatic properties which is suppose to help. That's what I got from YouTube anyway.

My son has a blue 2021 Accord Sport he is bringing by and taking my mustang. Going to do a mild paint correction and apply Gyeon Pure. Love how it made my Red Mustang look so should also make that Blue look deep also.

How long after applying the Pure do I need to wait before applying the bead maker for the slickness?

He has to park outside so the coating will help for sure.

Do you use the BM over ceramic coatings? Is it more slick/hydrophobic than ceramic coating?
