Official Ford Sync3 3.4 Release

My favorite part is having the Android Auto turn instructions in the instrument cluster.
The infotainment center spends 99% of the time in AA anyway.
Full time night mode is nice.

Guys quick question. I am relenting on holding off on upgrading to sync 3.4 so I am going to upgrade from 3.3 19052 to 3.4 20136. Now do I need to worry about any changes that I have done in ForScan that could cause problems for me with the upgrade or post upgrade? Like the themes and startup/shutdown changes? Will the upgrade reset the changes to factory and I have to redo the changes I want back in with ForScan noting that the GT performance startup/shutdown is gone and the GT350 theme.

A member updated their sync and had issues with the theme giving him issues after he reset to default theme he was able to redo all of his changes again with fordscan

Yes, it would be for the best. After the update just go back and do your updates.

Once you update to 3.4, none of the previous theme codes will be the same, so better put it back to stock, so you can make sure everything works after the update, before messing with FORScan. Most of the theme options are blue, which was a no-go for me. The only other options are a brown and gray Lincoln ones, so I went with the gray (option 2). And I also went with the Ford Performance start-up animation (option 10). There's no shut-down animation with those 2 together, which is perfectly fine with me. You can play with those numbers and see what happens; worst case scenario with that is you just change them back. Good luck.

JC. What is this calm screen I keep reading about? At night I really hate the brightness and the GT350 them at night is just perfect with the exception CarPlay and the damn thing goes bright again at night. Kills me!!

I dont think calm screen is available on the US Ford released version. Now if you use the cyan labs version than you can get calm screen but you will lose some functions. As for brightness that's weird you are having that issue because on my car I can control brightness with the dash brightness buttons and if I go to setting and screen I can also control brightness only when in night mode.

I will have to see after I do the upgrade and do the changes with ForScan. I am thinking of the Lincoln grey them would be best for the BULLITT.

IT IS. But possibly only with Sync 3.4. I had it before switching to the gray Lincoln mode MY20, and works with the new theme too. It's APIM 7D0-02-03 xCxx xx. And yes, the gray theme with the Ford Performance animation are the best combination for the Bullitt IMO. No more freaking blue at all .

7D0-02-03 xCxx xx for vehicles with onboard modem.
7D0-02-03 x4xx xx for vehicles without onboard modem

So just did 3.4 upgrade (20136). Went smooth, but i do not like Blue color on tool bar. Besides ForSkin is there snyother way to change?
