Hello Fellow Shelby Owners; I have a 2020 Shelby GT 500 with a totally dead battery. Just need your advice. What is the absolute best and most long lasting battery to replace the factory battery?? On my current battery it says 590 Amps. What is the strongest and best replacement for it??

Stay away from a Ford battery (they do not last long).

“Very best” is always a subjective term. There’s usually no such thing as “best” when it comes to car parts. There’s “better” and “bad”. I have the XS Power D4700 with short terminals. It works much “better” than stock.

No I drive it just in spring, summer, & fall. I was going to drive it yesterday & the battery was dead as a door nail. I’ve had it on the trickle charger since mid NOV. When I pushed the start button there was no sound. Dead completely.

If what you're attaching is a charger (always charging, no matter what) instead of a tender (an intelligent conditioner), I would install a new battery and a supporting tender at same time.

In general, if my car is not moving, it's attached to a tender 24/7.

Deltran, CTEK and Ford Performance make good products. Using those brand names in a search, you'll find multiple threads with insight.

Reads like you already received some guidance on battery brand and model.
