I would bet this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it.
I'm looking of a 18-20 GT Premium convert with automatic, PP1, Magneride, Orange would be first choice.
I found one that has everything except Magneride.
What's peoples opinions on Magneride? Do I really need it?

Found what I was looking for by using regular Google & not just searching within the forum.

:) Since you asked. Unless you are doing some serious tracking, I would say no. I've had it on various Corvettes and Mustangs. The only time I could really feel a difference was when tracking the car. The biggest tip off is that it is available with the performance pkgs only.

I had a 2015 GT (non-PP) and now have a 2020 PP2. To me, a huge difference with Magnaride and the PP2 suspension upgrades. Hard to tell how much is the magnaride and how much is the other suspension upgrades. I can tell you this, I personally wouldn't get a non magnaride non PP car after feeling the ride in this one...

I think the Mag suspension is pretty damned good. It drives like a much more expensive car.
perhaps. I drove @NoVaGT 's car 2 Sundays back and was reminded why I passed. Even in track mode the chassis was entirely too 'wiggly' and 'loose'. Needs hella more rebound damping to settle it down.

That's the need for the Steeda suspension stuff. Damping is great, but without the Steeda stuff the car wiggles around.

The magic is how the Magneride balances impact absorption and control.

It does stuff that you don't realize when it's happening. Damn suspension saved my life one day when some fucktard decided his van was going to occupy the same space as my car at 50 MPH.

I agree with this analogy 100%.
Magneride is perfect for me. Best of both worlds with the flick of a switch.

True. However, having to spend $6k plus to get it sucks IMHO. That's also why I stay the hell away from Airport fwy, loop 12 and, I-635 ............... That about covers it.
