In some case like u-turn or park in narrow spot, sport steering is kind of stiff. May be I need hand workout
It was an 'option' for '19 Bullitts, standard on '20s
My wife can tell the difference. She prefers Normal when we're just driving along, but when it gets twisty, she wants me to put it in Sport, as she'd rather the car lean less in the corners (bad hip) than be smoother over the bumps.
Just note the question wasn't about stock Magneride but Magneride handling pack - and as I wrote - it's harsher because it has to be, doesn't mean harsh.
There's never a need to mod. However, if you decide you like to drive in sport and feel you need a little more in the handling department, then it's a solid choice.
I did a comparison of before and after with just the magneride recalibration that comes with this package. My driving was basically an hour commute to and from work which included half highway, half city driving which had some crappy bumpy roads. Normal was pretty solid. Sport was stiff for the sake of being stiff. The car felt solid, but overly stiff. My back would ache after a drive which is why i decided to look for a revised tune. After I bought and installed this tune, the car was noticeably smoother. In sport mode, the car hugged the road and felt smoother, instead of harsher on some of the bumpy roads. I got some feedback from a buddy who asked if I changed the suspension because it was smoother. After driving it like that for a week, I installed the ford performance springs and sway bars and my thought here is the tune softens the suspension for a ride that really hugs the road and lets the stiffer springs and sways fight the body roll. Track mode is more or less the same. A stiffer, but very smooth ride. I'm more than happy with this purchase. If the wheel gap wasn't so bad, I would have just installed the tune and be done with it. But I really have no complaints with the setup.

Thanks. Yeah, I probably should have used another word instead of "need." That was figurative. What I meant was "would I want this?" or "will I feel the difference, and would it be positive?"
The ford performance magneride handling pack comes with a software upgrade (or tune) for the magneride system.

Yes, it's the ford performance magneride handling pack. The springs are specific to mustangs with magneride and the VDM update is for the PP1 only. FRPP is Ford Racing performance parts.
Who uploaded the tune for you? Was it the dealer or something you did yourself and if so what did you use to upload it.
I did it myself. There's an app from ford performance I installed on my laptop, connected the module that comes with this kit, followed the instructions, and updated the software. It's pretty straight forward.
I drove a pp1 with and without magneride before making my decision. I only got about 30 minutes, but I took some routes that had some bumps and curves and I felt non magneride took longer to "settle" after hitting a bump whereas magneride seemed to smooth out quicker. It's hard to describe, but I would suggest to drive both if you can and plan some paths ahead of time to be able to really get a feel.
