no way in hell M1 is worth that much more, just like Dark Horse is not worth that much more than the M1. Might as well go to a GT350 if paying that much more.
I thought the same thing until I drove one. Had a 2018 GT with suspension mods and 4.09’s, and the difference was still amazing.

If only driving on the street, the PP2 is essentially a GT PP1 with bigger wheels/tires. (Think after market... hint, hint)

Edit: A PP2 is a step down from a non-HP Mach 1. And, yes, before you ask, I've driven all three, a PP2, Mach 1 non-HP, and Mach 1 HP.
No way a no-hp Mach is a step down from a PP2

Hi all, owner of a '14 Brembo/3.73 GT in Grabber Blue here. If I'm able to, I'd like to purchase either a Mach1 or a PP2, either of them preferably in Grabber Blue or Orange. I will not be tracking the car, so let's get that out of the way early.

As best as I can tell, the biggest difference between the two is the transmission, which would be the MT-82 in the PP2 or the Tremec in the Mach1.

I realize this is the Mach1 forum, but would still like to hear objective opinions on the subject. Which Mustang would you guys recommend? Again, this car would be mainly for cruising and having non-track fun.
My two cents: I was looking at a used PP2 Mustang in a bright green (owned by a coworker who ordered it). I also saw a used Mach 1 in eruption green. The EG was more my personality, so a was leaning towards that. But after driving them both, I was sold on the Tremec. And the additional coolers on the Mach 1 was the nail in coffin. Of course, by the time I made decision, both cars were sold. So, order my 2023 EG Mach 1.

I'm always suspicious when a new forum member asks these "subjective questions" for "objective opinions". It's the ghost of members banned. They've come back from the grave to stir the pot.

"Tell me what to do, tell me what to do. Help me decide. Help me make up my mind."

But I'll take the bait. Since you admittedly weren't clear in your original post...

The Mach 1 also comes with an automatic transmission. So if that's your persuasion, there you go. Buy the M1... if you can.

The comments in this thread were 🤪

Then the thread devolves into arguments about which car is better. F'n cyber terrorist.

"If I'm able to..." ? The OP doesn't even know if he's able to buy the car. Gtfowtbs

Oh, and for the record, the PP2 is the choice. The Mach 1 is an s550 last production year cash grab. It's a Parts bin car at best. 😉

That's not what he said.
That is literally what he said. "Edit: A PP2 is a step down from a non-HP Mach 1."
I would say if you're looking at a hp mach and a pp2 get a hp mach but a pp2 is better than a non hp mach especially if its only ever going to see street driving all those extra coolers arent guuna do a damn if you only drive on sundays.

Well let me tell you my experience on purchasing a Mustang with the PP2. I looked from the West - the East coast and all either were modified one way other another, or were in an accident and the dealer wanted to much. Some insurances won't cover you and banks won't loan you the money. So I moved my choice up to the RTR, Roush and Saleen. These were all more than what I wanted to spend and they really didn't have the SC. So i moved over to the DH. Man! nice car but way too much then what I wanted to spend. I believe the 20hp more then the Bullet and Mach 1 was not worth it. Plus, I'm not a big fan of the ipad looking gauge cluster. Plus, some dealers wanted way too much.

I looked at the Mach 1 with the handling package and found this option was the best bang for the buck. I just purchased a 2022 Mach 1 in grabber blue for $44k, 1700 miles, and one owner. No accidents. Plus, it came with all the goodies. You can't beat that. I guess I got luck.

But I got shafted on the deal because the dealer added extra stuff like a ceramic coating for 2100. some security BS for 1700 but i really didn't car because the car was in good shape.

All I can say is WOW!! The Mach 1 is so damn fun to drive, it turns heads everywhere i go. Just hearing the exhaust is worth it ALL!

If you find a Mach 1 you like better jump on it quick because these car are snatched up quick.

I would suggest have your funds ready, and your approval from a credit union ready to go. Try to negotiate on the shipping of your car. The dealer paid for the shipping which it wasn't much - 700.

Stand out from the rest and get a Mach 1, don't get a Mustang GT with the PP2. They all look the same. Boring!!!!

Dear Pete in heaven that's a nice Mustang Mach1. Grabber Blue and with the HP!

Oh, and by the way, to the poster(s) who think I might be a retread, you would be incorrect. I just joined after doing a search about the Mach1s and came across this forum. My username is the same across multiple forums.

And I love Mustangs. Here's mine (it's been posted on other forums):

Anytime someone brings up parts bin or not worth the money for stickers, it takes me back to the days of the "Why the Mach 1 is a Rip-Off" thread of 2021

I agree, it's the best parts bin car I've ever seen. I even liken it to a 350 with a coyote as a lot of people I've heard say that.
