Thanks all. I will make an appointment for an oil change. Now to prepare myself for the typewriter tick everyone gets after the first oil change. Lets see if that happens.
So I get in my 2023 Mach 1 yesterday to get it out of its winter hibernation. The Change Oil message came on. What is the algorithm used to determine oil change? The car has 1500 miles but I have had it just over a year. So I can see that there may be a time component to calculating the oil...
When I did the Track Attack I was in awe on the colors. I almost wish I could have walked through the paddock before I picked a color. The yellow was something I would have not considered but looked great on the Mach 1. Race Red was a consideration, as was black. After seeing the cars, I am...
I don't really have a nickname for the car per se, but I used my kids tuition to buy the car since they decided to drop out of college. So I joke the car is "my kids tuition". I tried a personal plate to say something like KDZ2SHN, but all the variations I can come up with seem to be taken.
I think one of the large suppliers has a video. Either Steeda or CJ Pony Parts. I watched it a couple of times as I am contemplating the four point bar too.
Found it. Was LMR.
My only regret is not getting Recaro seats. At time that I ordered it, the seat availability was a concern and I didn't want delay. I am half effort looking for Recaro in leather to bolt in if I decide to do track days. Otherwise, I will live with the comfy seats which aren't bad in support...
Yes, a manual. Car has 1500 miles. I doubt its had a chance to get too dirty. I will see if I can fish some out. I was toying on replacing fluid with Motul so it would get a flush. The reservoir separation is a good idea that I may implement.
Car has 1500 miles. I ordered it before they weren't going to be available anymore. But work assignment has me away so it never gets driven. Never tracked.
I had to hook my battery tender back up and decided to check fluids as weather will be breaking soon. As I looked into the reservoir for the master cylinder, I noticed a lot of black specks of debris. Anyone have an idea? Looks like I'll be taking back to the dealer once weather is decent.
It was one of the drivers for my decision to not get the HP package. I ordered my 2023 a few weeks before order banks closed. Only regret I have is not getting Recaro seats. I had a hard time getting less (no power or heat/vent) for more money. And I was worried it was an option that could...
I shift into 6th when steady state on the on the highway at speed. If hitting hills or making any moves that requires accelerating, I will downshift to 5th.
I think there could be gains on using 3". As an owner of a nice well built Gen 2 (426) hemi in my other car, I can say 3" was the way to go. If this engine has more cross section area, and it certainly revs higher, I would expect better performance for bigger pipe.
I have seen FJG, Red and Yellow. I wish I could find an Eruption Green. I thought EG was one of the more popular colors for the 2022 and 2023 model years.
I agree with others. Late fall here, and I took car out when temp was about 50 deg F. I noticed a huge difference in traction. Tires felt like hard slick rubber and handling was a bit squirrely.
Interesting. But here is my take. The GT350 is a tier above the Mach 1. But slightly. I think the engine and external differences are a bit more higher level than the Mach 1. But, of all the cruise nights and cars and coffees I have attended, I have only seen one or two other Mach 1s...
The painted components aren't there to look good under the car. Ford (nor others) care really what under the car looks like as 99.99% of buyers will ever look under their car. Paint was strictly minimum to get from the stamping plant to the assembly line. There is expectation that under car...
