I love the standard seats for normal commuting. I really, really wish I had Recaro seats for track days or spirited driving. My wife loves the heating/ventilation feature so they will stay. I may look at a race seat to swap in and out for the few times I track the car.
Funny you said that. I never got my shipping blocks from dealer. But I managed to stop the dealer from doing dealer prep just after he removed the blocks. In my youth I used to work for Buick and did dealer prep. So, I said I'd do my own. I saved every sticker and paper that was on or in...
Was Sept of 2022 and I was looking at used Eruption Green. I was hooked on color. By the time I was back from work trip it was gone. However, the dealer was asking $5k over sticker. I also heard stories of folks getting their orders cancelled for various reasons. But I decided to try my...
I heard conflicting information that switching brake fluid to Motul would cause issues with clutch master cylinder. The engineer in me doesn't see why as it should be similar properties for hydraulic use, but given that the fluid is different, I was worried. So, I did the separation of church...
Thanks for all the comments. Car is perfectly stock, has about 6000 miles on the tires. Its a NON HP 2023 Mach 1. So has the Brembo brakes. This will be the second time tracking at Watkins Glen. Only third time I have tracked a Mustang. Looks like maybe just swapping the brake fluid.
Quick question. I did HPDE at Watkins Glen last year with my 2023 Mach 1 (non HP) and the car was bone stock. Looking at doing another in July and considering maybe upgrading brakes. I was looking at the two piece rotor set (front and rear) and G-LOC R8 compound pads. Are changes to the rear...
New C8 is an amazing car for the money. Especially with mid-engine layout, handling, chassis, etc. But lack of a third pedal is a bummer for me. I don't care if the new paddle shift is faster. I enjoy shifting. But it is by far a looker. Too many sharp ridges, the side scoop is horrendous...
The salesman that sold my 2023 Mach 1 to me just called. Said he had someone looking for a manual, eruption green Mach 1 and sent me the window sticker for 2026 Dark Horse similarly equipped to my Mach 1. Dark Horse would be over $10k more. Not sure there is $10k of "better" content in it to...
No handling package is more than adequate for the street and a non-HP car is no slouch on the track either. I'm not sure of your racing background, but unless you are thinking of tracking the car all the time and are a very experience track driver, I doubt you'll notice the difference. Just my...
If we could get about 400 data points, we would have a pretty good picture of actual production breakdown on color. At least with a 95% confidence level.
I hate when you get somewhere and they say you can't do the work. However, I think the only thing using up your clearance is the lower splitter. Why not take it off. Sounds like they come off pretty easy. After all aren't they installed at the dealer at delivery? I don't have HP version but...
LOL. I am also into Mopar muscle cars. I have a project that is like 1 of 7. Someday I plan on restoring it, but for now it sits in my garage in 1000 pieces.
I've tracked my car and really didn't notice an issues with the rear brakes. But pulling over the rear brakes from the GT350 is about the only major thing I can think of that would have made the package complete. But as I said, I didn't notice any issues with the stock GT rear brake calipers...
So my Mach 1 is the first performance car I've owned and driven that wasn't built in the 60s. Old school me says things like cam changes, exhaust headers, carburetor all worked in the past to wake up old engines. But with the new stuff I am not sure what changes can be made that will have any...
I don't if it's a parts car. But that price is severely overpriced. You will be at least $10k into repairs. $1600 in air bag replacements alone. I think if it we in the $28k to $30k range, that would allow for repairs and come in below the depreciated value due to having been in an accident...
I was pretty lit after a beer tasting night on a Saturday. Evidently I purchased an F-150 and completed all the paperwork online without really remembering. Got a call Monday morning from dealership to come in on lunch to finish up everything. lol. Turned out the vehicle I wanted was already...
