As soon as the Mach 1 driver pushes the clutch the A-10 is gone.

Just watched that the other day. A10 has the edge but I still enjoy my MT82.

The S550 10R80 has had the edge since it debuted... there's tons of threads on here about it and how it can shift faster than anyone behind a manual. Not busting balls, just posting it's a fact.

You know, that’s kinda been the rule since back in the day when Chrysler had the Torqueflite and GM followed suit with the 3-spd. TurboHydramatic. Sometimes you needed to install a quick shift kit on the THM but that wasn’t any big deal.

The most talented powershifter can’t keep up with a good automatic day in and day out.

In a straight line over a quarter mile or so, it's doubtful that the Mach 1 is faster than the GT, assuming equal tires, and with the same torque driving an extra 130 pounds, it may well be slower. The extra HP gained from the GT350 intake really doesn't come into play until somewhere north of 140mph.

Well, I guess somebody needs to make a video and we will know for sure right.. lol
The Mach has a different torque converter and tune on the A10 as well so that could factor in.
Also has some rear end differences that could plant it better.

So I’ve been wondering for a while, when is the a10 quicker. Is it on a drag strip? Is it at all time? Does anybody really care? I really enjoy driving a manual so that’s what I bought. If I was buying a car for maximum drag strip potential it wouldn’t be a mustang, it would be a big block in a tube frame running a 2 speed auto. Turns out I wanted to enjoy the curves.
