M1 Lug Nuts

This is probably been discussed elsewhere, but I wanted to see if anyone has put on black lug nuts on their M1?

I'm thinking of going with these FP lugs since they are OEM, but if anyone has any thoughts on these over Gorilla or vice versa?

I used some Mcgard Spline Drive ones on my last car and they worked great. Haven't tried the other brands. They didn't rust or anything either.

I replaced the stock silver ones with the black FP ones on mine. They blend in nicely with the HP wheels. No issues so far.

I bought black Gorilla lug nuts as a time proven solution to the oem ones falling apart. And matte black will be nicer on magnetic wheels. Currently waiting for delivery to me and will put them on car in the spring.

If you want to know what they look like on stang wheel :

You may need some generic O rings to cover the unsprayed part of the wheel (although it’s not very noticeable unless you are viewing from the angle and distance of this photo) :

Other than that they seem really well made and they fill the taper in the PP1 wheels perfectly.

I believe McGard’s have a better / longer lasting finish on them compared to the other more common alternative.

CJ wouldn't ship the FP oil separator to CA, so I don't order from them anymore.

Swapped to Mcgard lugs and wheel locks today.

Do you one better, I left the stock nuts and added Lug Covers. Dont ahve to worry about the black scratching and chipping(which will happen)
