I have a couple times now, accidentally fired the panic alarm. Those keys are WAY too easy to push floating around in the jeans. Need to find a way to take out their sensitivity, or maybe even disable the panic alarm. Never needed one in ten years that I have seen them on fobs.

I have never done this. And I carry a huge bundle of work keys in my pocket all day along with the car keys. Must be tight pants.

Could be, no one would call me skinny. I think the issue is that I have too many keys/remotes on my key chain.
I always have separate keychain for car keys.

I agree...the button is to sensitive and it doesnt need to be pressed very long before it sets off the alarm.

beyond being sensitive, it is obtuse rather than concave. Happens to me all the time. I'm sure my neighbors hate me now.

I always keep the fob separate from the rest of the keys. It goes in the same pocket, but is not on the key ring. Same when I have VWs. Everyone I knew who kept hitting the panic button with the VWs had keys attached.

This happened to me enough times that I finally did something. I took the FOB apart and put a small rubber o-ring between the button and the circuit board. Button doesn't work but I don't panic enough to need it anyway.

I've set mine off a few times too. Very annoying. I don't want to disable it though. I saw some kids leaning up against the car to take a pic from my window. The way they bolted when I hit the panic button was absolutely priceless!

Hah. Try washing your car with your keyfob in your pocket. The water will cause the doors to lock and unlock all the time...

I had been thinking of trying to find some clear shrink tube and encasing the fob in it. No clue if there is such a thing as clear shrink tube or if it would even work, might just depress all the buttons and that would be a bummer.
