No reason to. I don't drive on the track and the car does everything I need on the street. I got an extended warranty not to have to worry about coming up with repair cash. I realize everyone's money situation is different but the idea of owing money on a car and putting car mods on a credit card is mind numbing to me. While I'm sure there are folks who paid their car off and pay cash for mods I'm sure that's a very small group here.

WOW, that's a beauty. I don't blame you for leaving that one alone. As an aside, the S550's are the best looking Mustangs ever, IMHO and your pic of that red beauty just solidifies it.

I have thought about mods for my 2018 GT Premium A10, but every time I drive it, I love it like it is.

Seems clear from these posts that there is some variability in members' interpretation of "Mod".

Anything I have to spend more than an afternoon reversing is "a mod", my view. That means springs, shocks, superchargers, updated manifolds, rear gear ratios, and so forth. Soon I'll tell about my battery cover remove-avoidance changes, that could be reversed in ten or fifteen minutes. My penchant for adding subtle accents with reflective vinyl don't really need reversing, but are potentially simple and easy. Both could reasonably be called "mods", but not by me.

A lot of what is mentioned as "mods" seems to me to be "decoration", the kind of addition to your home you might expect an interior designer to come up with. Some of what is mentioned as "mods" seems to me to be wasteful, beside-the-point manipulation for the sake of doing it, not because it has any functional or aesthetic value. Think about who you are tring to impress: Yourself or some one else—or some crowd.

Of course my taster is different from your taster; some of what you do could make me retch. And vice versa.

For me, I will be staying stock, till my first year rolls around (wait, that's this month, July!). Then, I might consider some options...

Devil's advocate here.

The aftermarket support for this car shows A LOT of people do mod in one way or another.

Cars in this price range are a compromise. There's no way somebody can put all quality, high performance, parts on a car for this price tag. That's where the aftermarket comes in. Aftermarket parts have a possibility to be built better(quality, heavy-duty, high performance, etc.) because these aftermarket companies aren't working with such a strict budget like car manufacturers work with.

The reason I mod is for better handling and better acceleration. Oh yeah, and I like to put my personal touch on a car. Something that stands out. Something that is unique. I don't believe I've ever owned a stock car. It isn't in my blood.

I was tuned and FBO by the time I hit 3k miles. Just had to get that reassurance for a few miles that my engine was solid and it still has been. I've got an Accord if something breaks but so far, so good.

Ok, to be honest I made a list of mods before I even got the GT, some may get done, some are already there.

Adding a spare tire (Automotive Authority for PP1) isn't much of a mod but it sure gives peace of mind on a long trip;
Remove or mod the engine cover;
Add a 1" shutoff valve to the "Sound Symposer" (and maybe remove it completely later);
Install dual horns (low on the list);
Install a shifter bracket (the stock shifter works well so this is also low on the list);
Install a trailer hitch for a bike rack.

As for power, handling, and looks, I am good with how it is now.

I ordered mine up the way I wanted it. PP1, 10 speed auto, magneride, active valve exhaust, optional wheels, showstopper red leather and the digital dash. I will be leaving it as Ford built it.

I'd be pretty happy with those options, too. I think the only mods I would consider would be a square wheel setup instead of the optional wheels and an H pipe resonator delete.

In my case, I was able to negotiate a better deal on my 16 GT Premium PP because it had a resonator delete (welded in H-pipe) and Flowmaster 40's (yikes, the drone) and it wouldn't sell as well as a stock version would. It also has an Airaid MXP Dry intake. But I had a plan in mind which I will run with shortly, as I have a resonated Magnaflow Tru-X, and 2 Borla XS mufflers ready to be welded in to tame the drone and nails in a coffee can rasp. That and the sound tube delete for now, tune will be the only other mod for me most likely.

I have a 2019 300a need for green pp1 and i love it. I was thinking about louvers and black out badges till i ran into a guy with a stock gen 1 mach 1 who told me if you to only change what i dont love. So she stays stock so who in the group is going to stay stock and why.

Mine is pretty much stock but the exhaust and I’m debating on putting the stock exhaust back on for 2 reasons

I. Some idiot in my nieghborhood keeps calling the cops on me and saying I’m ripping through the neighborhood and I don’t ... seriously.

2. My exhaust sounds absolutely perfect up to 3k rpms but it gets real loud after that. I barely bring it up over 3k because I don’t want to bring attention to me and get tickets etc.
When I had the stock exhaust on I was bringing it up to 7k rpms all the time and I really miss that
