Honestly, not sure but for as long as I can. My car will be 5 years old this October and it will be paid off in a month or two so I'll aim to keep it for as long as I can.

How many miles have you put on it? Also have you encountered any issues in those 5 years?

Not a whole lot, it's a little over 22K miles.

It's been modded since 3k miles (headers, intake, tune). It's been boosted since about 13k miles.

Overall, she's seen many track days (1/4 mile, 1/2 mile) and no issues at all. Combined probably 60+ passes for sure.

No major issues, the only things that were of concern are listed below:

1. Engine randomly dying issue. (Opened a thread for this, but after the first few times it happened, the problem never came back in the last few years. Not sure of the cause)

2. Transmission thud. It's a known issue and many cars exhibit this as well.

3. Door latch recall. That was taken care of pretty quick by the dealer.

Other than that, she's been driving strong and well!

I drive a car until:
A: It bores me to death
B: Becomes a money pit.

I usually buy new and drive until A or B occur which typically is around 10 years. Buying a new car is a loser financially unless you keep it long enough to offset the depreciation. Choose wisely.

I keep most of my cars a long time if I like them. So far the Mustang has been a blast, but I do miss my Cayman. Pretty sure my next car will be a manual 911. The Mustang is fun, but I prefer the driving dynamics of Porsches especially in the twisties. I may keep the GT though as a change of pace. I paid it off the day I bought it so my options are open to when I get the urge to splurge.

I do like the 911s myself...however the new 992 is butt ugly. Sorry dude.
