That's the first R on blocks! Lol.

Nice... I'm gonna put my Steeda order in today for rails, clutch spring and maybe the G brace.
My thoughts exactly!

I just ordered steeda jack rails for my 16' GT350. I'm curious about the factory bolts used. Are there any precautions I need to take when removing them while installing the jack rails? I checked the Steeda install instructions and it doesn't mention anything about precautions - yet still I'm wondering why these bolts are on the car if they're not fastening the chassis, especially with the 60~ ft/lbs they're torqued to.

I don't have a lift, so I plan to jack up one side of the car at a time and lower it down so the wheels/tires are sitting on a few pieces of wood. My concern is loosening those bolts while the car is lifted in this way - could this cause any issues?

I have no idea what these bolts hold together, but DO NOT jack it up one side at a time to install the rails. The bolts will get out of alignment and be very hard to thread back in. They can easily be installed car sitting on the ground btw.

My best guess is they hold together parts of the chassis. The subframe rails to the cabin body panels maybe. 100% tho there is shifting for lack of a better term when they are removed.

I like to disassemble things.
Thanks again to Kelly at BMR. These are the most robust rails on the market!

I wanted those since they're red they'd match my car well being red! I like that the tube is rolled to be level with the ground. I ordered Steeda since it appears from pictures that they offer better ground clearance. I may lower the car in the future so it's a small concern for me.

Thank you for the info, I will try installing them on the ground. If I can't do it then i'll put all 4 wheels/tires up evenly on some wood (after re-installing the bolts first).

Steeda jacking rails, they work great, easy to bolt on. I'm using a 3 ton low profile jack from Harbor Freight that I got for $99. It's the heavy grey kind, not the blue lightweight aluminum. I'm lowered on Steeda Progressives and it works great. Some friends with GT's that are lowered on Steeda Ultralights also use the same jack and it works for them too.
I have both the 3 ton aluminum blue jack and the 3 ton low profile gray steel jack from HF, and I'm pretty sure the steel one is actually lighter. If not, they're pretty damn close. The 3 ton aluminum one is beefy as hell. You may have problems sliding it under the rails on a lowered car, but the steel jack fits perfectly.

Edit, looked it up, the steel one is actually heavier. HF claims the aluminum one is 55 lbs, but that's BS. But I'm also too lazy right now to go out and actually weigh it. Either way, they're both heavy. Moral of the story, if you're shopping for a jack, get the 3 ton steel jack. It's half the price, and the extra weight doesn't make a bit of difference.

Thanks for posting that David. I'm glad I waited a day... Can you also explain the g brace in a sentence or two?

Sure, in short it improves suspension compliance and stiffens your chassis. Once installed, you'll notice an increase in vehicle response and predictability. :)

ok, brother. Thanks for the info. I'll be placing an order here in about 30 min. Gonna load up on the GT rails, g-brace and clutch spring. Thanks for the support on here and being available to answer questions!... speaks a lot to your business ethic.

I'm not sure that the g-brace is going to clear the underbody pan.

Someone on here already installed one and said it shored up the front end well. I will let you know when I get mine and attempt to put it on.
