^^^ The non-PP with 6-speed has 3.31 rear end standard, with the 3.55 optional. 3.15 rear end is standard with the automatic transmission.
I have the GT without the PP, but have the optional 19" wheels with lower profile tires which might make it seem a bit more planted. Maybe the 18" wheel/tires make it seem a little more "floaty" and less responsive.
Personally, I love the way my non-PP rides and handles for street driving - and from driving a C5 Z06 for years I think that says something. No track or autocross in my plans, so I'm sure I won't miss not having the PP.
