The pp is ruined only by the mt-82 transmission! That ends with the 2018 model!

I would say slightly diminished, not ruined.
Agreed. It may not be as stout as a Tremec or feel as good as an S2000, but the MT is still pretty nice. I'd take it over any automatic this side of a PDK.

Exactly. Manual is first option, slushbox(automatic) is always second. If we were talking about a DSG tranny, that would be a tough choice. DSG ftw!

its no good for reliability when you start adding power to it....gear whine, clutch pedals sticking to the floor, lockouts, poor clutch engagement after consecutive hard runs, the list goes on...its junk any way you slice it....

Apparently you have never had a tuned auto to go with your tuned motor, its not slushy at all, shifts are as firm as you want them to be. All other things equal it will drive right by that manual trans with ease. And i haven't even mentioned what circle d 5c converters do to for that tuned Auto.

Well no shit, that's why I said "not as stout as a Tremec". And really it only starts to fall apart at the 700hp range so you have some room for upgrades before you need to look at the tranny.

Other than that, everything you spouted off rarely ever happens if at all. Clutch engagement is easily remedied by a 15 dollar spring or no spring at all. I've taken my car to ECR, TWS, and COTA and no problems with at all with the tranny.

Sounds like you've never driven the manual option and have to try to put it down to make yourself feel better about settling with the slushbox.

Don’t get your panties in a bunch, all those things I mentioned happened to my mt-82, and at the time I thought it was just my car but when I saw all those issues popping up all over the forums Then I knew this trans was garbage. I tried all the band aids and found there’s no way around it. While that was going on folks with the 6r80 were building 1000 hp cars going to track and breaking into the eights with stock parts. So you go ahead keep adding your bandaids, they’re just temporary fixes to ongoing problems!

What bandaids are you babbling about? The spring is for the clutch and that's it. I've not done anything else to the transmission and don't plan to either except maybe a fluid change to BG. Tranny is fine stock.

Sucks you had problems with yours, but you have to realize that you were in the vast minority. If you take everything said here on the forum as gospel, then the Mustang is just a flat out piece of shit car what with all the vibration issues, AC failures, panel alignments, etc.

Please expand on this.

I was actually thinking of the new 10 speed auto....but not if it is sluggishly boring like the 6 speed.

Just finished my first year with a 17 GT PP as a daily driver and I say it is well worth it! I still love driving the car everyday to and from work, and the MT82 is fine.

I learned how to drive manual on my Dad's S2000 just before buying this car and I was still not disappointed at all. Yes, the S2K has shorter, tighter throws but the Mustang is a different kind of animal and experience.

The performance package suspension is perfect for daily driving IMO, with aftermarket suspension being desirable if you actually plan to track it.
