I was actually thinking of the new 10 speed auto....but not if it is sluggishly boring like the 6 speed.

The 10 speed might? be a different story. I drove a v6 camaro rental that had a 10 speed and that trans was on point. But idk what it is, even though it gives me slight knee pain sometimes, i really want to sell my auto and get a manual. Its just feels more "free". I cant explain it, but every single time i make a shift with the paddle i envision hitting a clutch and changing the gear. I also dont get the satisfaction of slamming it into second making the car go sideways. Also going under overpasses and putting the car into neutral to rev it feels robotic in every way.

I know a lot of complaints on the mt, but in stock form...its very easy to use and is rather smooth. ugh, im gunna do it, i need that manual lol

FYI the current normal Camaro automatic is an 8 speed except for the ZL1 which has the new 10A. All indications are that the 10A is even better than the very good Camaro 8A. Better in regard to both "performance" and "general public" criteria.
