Man, when I first got my s550, coming from tons of SN95 mustangs and a WRX, I thought my little base s550 rode great.. lol. Tough crowd..

Since I got rid of the POS Pirelli Neros the car came with and replaced them with some nice Continental DW06+ tires its definitely more comfortable. Oddly enough I just had my tires Road Force balanced and that added to the overall smoothness in a subtle way too. I have no regrets that I didn't get it.

My 2019 Bullitt came with MR, but I recently replaced the rear shocks with non MR shocks and installed Shock Delete Engineering se sors to fool the ECM. I could have done without it, but it was already on the car when I bought it. Not worth $1600 IMO, but then again, neither was the B&O stereo.
I’m glad you mentioned those sensors, I remember you saying something about them before and now I can finally research them!!

The Stang I got just happened to have MR. I do love it though. I don't plan on lowering my car, I don't track or race mine at all. But I do love the good ride on normal roads, and when I want to run twisty country roads (ie Tail of the Dragon, etc) I can bump up to Sport+ and I can definitely tell it tightens up nicely. I do agree though, when the dampers wear out, I dread having to replace them.

Magneride is good especially if your mustang is a daily car. Really smoothes the ride out. It is also good for basic track and autocross applications. However, once you start to really dive into advance motorsports the magneride becomes pretty useless and actually hurts you a bit because its so much more expensive to swap to coilers from MR :like:

Most definitely not necessary!

I still get the “Speed Restricted to 80 MPH” warning unless I turn off TC before going down the track.

I didn’t install the ride height sensors that came with my SDE kit (purchased their half kit), but may go ahead and plug them up. SDE did say that I probably wouldn’t have to calibrate the sensors since I haven’t lowered my car.

Good information to know!! I’ll probably eventually order the full kit so I can change everything out.

I have MR, and it works well. If it is in your budget and you can find a car equipped with it, I'd say get it. I optioned out my Mustang pretty heavily, PP, MR, active exhaust, 401A. Will the MR make it a track monster? No it will not, but it is still a lot of fun.
Those are the options I'm looking for also.
I would love to race or drag it, but with the convertible, that is hard to do. If my wife gets tired of driving it, I'll put a roll bar in it and go to the track. But for now, it will be our cruiser.

For a cruiser, I'd get it. You can dial up the fun or dial it back depending on what you are doing.
If you want a track monster, I'd get a base GT and build it the way you want it. The MR makes the thing much more fun, but there are aftermarket parts that will make the car much more competitive on the race track.

I feel it isn't necessary. I am running the Ford Performance Track kit and I don't find the ride objectionable at all.
