Hi gang,
I have been looking for a 2019+ GT convertible for a little bit now. It must have a few options that I'm looking for (PP1, Active exhaust, etc). I am starting to think maybe I'll pick up a new "left over" 2023 once the 2024's start to hit the lots. Most of them have everything I'm looking for EXCEPT for the MagneRide. It was on my list as an option I wanted.
For those of you that have had or ridden in ones that do and don't is it a must have?
I will be using this as a daily driver, mostly highway, but hoping for weekend country road trips.

I had a 2016 gt premium. That ride was really harsh. Especially on uneven roads. Now my mach 1, because of magneride, feels so much smoother. Even on uneven roads. I wish my volvo xc40 had air suspension, because sometimes it feels like my Mach 1 is a better ride than it with the magneride.

it's only a must have if you decide it is, most mustangs are not MR equipped.

I wish mine didn’t have it but that’s for racing reasons not comfort reasons.

My 2019 Bullitt came with MR, but I recently replaced the rear shocks with non MR shocks and installed Shock Delete Engineering sensors to fool the ECM. I could have done without it, but it was already on the car when I bought it. Not worth $1600 IMO, but then again, neither was the B&O stereo.

Having been through many generations of mustangs, it’s funny to hear that the s550 rides poorly. My car now rides and handles better than any mustang previously. The Steeda springs are a plus but it was good before too.

I would love to have magneride but solely for performance. I don’t think it’s a necessity.

That's why I got a base 300A. I can add whatever I want and still come out ahead. Personally I don't thing the 'premium' is worth the extra cash IMO.

Track or drag strip? I would have assumed the MR would help at the track.

This is the best application for the Magneride. It's a big improvement in normal ride. If you're making a full-on racecar, then you don't want it, IMO.

I test drove one with it and didn't need it. Keep in mind I settled on a base and don't care for creature comforts. Also I like drone and NVH

I have MR, and it works well. If it is in your budget and you can find a car equipped with it, I'd say get it. I optioned out my Mustang pretty heavily, PP, MR, active exhaust, 401A. Will the MR make it a track monster? No it will not, but it is still a lot of fun.
