Hey y'all!

I'm 20 yr old college student. I just fell in love looking at the pics of the 2015. I've never sat in one but I'll definitely take it for a test drive once it comes to the dealership. This would be my first car that is truly mine if I buy it. I'm still somewhat hesitant as I should probably be spending the money on school next year when I matriculate into medical school... but I need a car anyways :D My parents think I should get an Accord/Altima/some japanese car b/c of reliability. But I think Ford has improved now. Anyways, can't wait to test drive this car!

I'm 62. I've been keeping my wife in Subarus, Escapes, and other smaller, economical urban cars for decades. Sadly, my wife has passed away and it's time for me to find a hobby. Perhaps realize a goal that was put on hold over 30 years ago. I've been scouring the forums for information about Mustangs for months. I was intrigued by the 2012 - 2014's because I could touch one at the local Ford dealer. And now Ford is going to deliver a Mustang that is all the car I could ask for, right off the showroom floor. The IRS is an exciting improvement. Maybe a high flow air filter element and a strut bar, if it doesn't have one.

Then again, a part of me that is never quiet, wants an Aluminator Engine with forged pistons, just in case one of those superchargers has my name on it.

Welcome all! Lagometer, sorry to hear about your wife. :( Nothing like Mustangs to take your mind off of everything.. I hope you get yours soon.

Proud owner in waiting

Hello, new to the forum, lurker for the last couple months while I did my research. Today at lunch I bought my first Mustang (after 23 years and 8 cars) a 2015 Mustang EB Premium, Magnetic and manual.

Now is the tough part, waiting until November to get it.

This site has been a great source of information.

Hey folks. Ken here, new to the board and Mustangs in general. My confession; Ive always respected the Mustang (well, the '11 and up), but have never driven one, been inside one or even thought I'd be considering one.

Ive always gravitated towards cars that arent very popular. My current car, Hyundai Genesis coupe, still grabs attention after five years because practically no one knows what it is. I dont care about grabbing attention but I admit its kinda cool only seeing another GC maybe once or twice a month.

I know all that will change if I end up with a Mustang. For once I'm willing to sacrifice being a rarity on the road, if the driving experience, the power and the toys blow me away. Honestly I think I could pretty happy with a 5.0; I'd be even happier if it offered the only thing missing--a sunroof! Thanks Ford  :tsk:

Welcome to the forum. I also currently have a Genesis Coupe but have included it as a trade-in for my 2015 Mustang EB Premium. Just like the Mustang I also pre-ordered the Genesis in 2009 and it was getting a lot of looks and questions. I'm not sure where you live but in Toronto it's far from a rarity now. I see a dozen a day at least.

Just like any car styling becomes dated and The Genesis is no different and in need of a new model (which I hear is coming next year).

In 23 years of driving I've had 8 cars (including my new order) and never the same manufacturer twice. I don't do it on purpose. I think I just get bored and want something new.

The Genesis was a great car for me and I find it interesting that I've seen the "I currently have a Genesis Coupe" comment quite a bit in the forum. I guess the worldwide target of the current Mustang might be working.

A dozen GCs a day? Wow. I in all honesty dont think Ive seen a dozen this whole YEAR, and I live in one of the biggest cities in the country. Thats one thing I will miss about her, but its time for something new and different.

Im like you, not loyal to any one brand and like trying out different cars; Ive had 12 in 18 years. My GC has been the most powerful car Ive owned, and I love the way it sounds (especially with intake/exhaust/ECU) BUT, I really want to go for a V8 next time around, for no other reason than Ive never had one. Now, if I could just decide which coupe to buy....

I'm sure it's part ethnic make-up of the people here and the fact that I drive 130klm per day.
I'm sticking with turbos, for me it's a better fit. I do drive a lot so mileage matters, it's a little lighter to make up for my fat ass. and they should get good benefits from tuning (if I decide to).

Hello from Naples, Fla.

Hi I am a long time Ford Mustang owner. Ive owned them all since 1977. My last was a 2013 5.0 in GHIG. Sold it for a 2014 Camaro SS. Ive also owned Chevy's as well.

I think Ford and Chevy both make some great muscle cars. I cant say one is better than the other because I dont believe it to be true. They both have their good and bad points about them.

I do believe that my 2013 5.0 and my 2014 Camaro SS would be a drivers race regardless of what alot of people will say.

As for the 2015 Mustang, I live in Naples and Roush has a "semi-secret" testing facility here and ive seen both the V6 and the 5.0, the V6 was dark blue and the 5.0 was a grayish/greenish color and I like the look of the front and rear of the new Mustang but not so much the body lines.

Time will tell if my mind changes.

JJ from Woodbine Motorsports here.

Glad to see this site up and running and doing so well.

We look forward to participating.

We have a Deep Impact Blue Auto Ecoboost on order for tuning and parts development, we will be focusing on daily driver tunes, upgrades and suspension improvements.

Our 2011 GT still holds the all motor stick bolt on record of 10.88@125mph @3550lbs, a record we have held for almost 3 years. We look forward to setting some records with our new car as well as passing along information that will help the Ecoboost owners decide what is a good mod or not. We race what we sell and only use parts that actually work.

JJ

Hey everybody. I'm Ben and I am definitely not new to Mustang or Ford. Sold my 90 LX Hatch last year to make room for the 2015 Premium GT in Comp Orange that I just ordered. Can't wait to take delivery! The forum has been a great source of info and I've enjoyed reading it.

It was a great car. Had it for 13 years. All chromoly suspension and a aluminum headed 302. I sold it to someone I know and hope to one day buy it back.

Are you talking about the facility at exit 101?

Glad to have you around, I think you are the first to admit having a 77. Charlies Angles had one(I think a 78), that was good enough for me.
