Hi everyone--

My name is Brian Cotter-- I am on the PR team at Ford and, most importantly, work exclusively with the 2015 Mustang.

I'm a long-time lurker on the site, but have never been an active participant...until now.

I've been a Mustang fan forever; while I don't (currently) drive one, my family has several in the stable including a GT350H (white/gold instead of the typical black/gold) and a barn-find GT500.

I look forward to interacting with all the enthusiastic fans on this site!

You are going to find that there are a million questions about tons of details... i hope the engineers on team mustang like you!

A new arrival

Hey all,

I'm Jon from currently smokey Southern Oregon. I come from a NHRA racing background, I know it's a shock based on my username. I sadly do not own a Mustang at present, I am stuck with a 2011 V6 Avenger.
In the past I have owned a 65 coupe with an A code 289 paired to a C4.

Hopefully going to be able to order a 2016 in October of next year though!

Hi All,

Long time lurker from the Pacific Northwest. I'm planning to order a '15 GT PP like the one pictured below and have made an appointment scheduled for tomorrow to go over the details. Like many of you, I am a carnut and huge mustang enthusiast. I look forward to seeing many of you post impressions about your new vehicles.

Cheers!

Hi all,

I have been posting here a bit already, but haven't posted a proper introduction yet.

I am Erwin and I live in The Netherlands, so I am one of the many people that is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the new Mustang in Europe. I obviously do not drive a Mustang at the moment. ;)

There are some that have been imported trough 'grey import' channels, so you can occasionally come across one on the roads overhere. It's a pretty rare sight, though. Due to the high fuel prices (around $8 a gallon) the big V6 and V8 engines make them somewhat costly to operate.

My 'history' with the Mustang:
I remember seeing one as a kid, (it must have been a 1960's convertible) and I didn't really think much of a car, but I loved the mustang emblem. I really wanted a car with that, because that looked so awesome! ;) In 1999 I was in California for a while and saw the 'all new Mustangs' (mostly convertibles) and was kinda sad that Ford wouldn't sell these cars in Europe.

I kinda consoled myself by remembering the aforementioned fuel economy, as well as american-built cars having the reputation of not having the greatest suspension work and handling, I probably wasn't missing out on much, really. Still, I have often said to my self: "If they would only brought it to Europe with a decent suspension and a somewhat economic engine, I'd buy one in a heartbeat."

Fast-forward to today ... OMG! OMG! It's coming! ;)

(even if it's with jumbo mirrors, faux gascap and clear not-really-a-tri-bar-is-it taillights :frusty:)

You guys in the US are so lucky to be ordering already! We're still waiting without much news really. I tried to pre-order one of the '500 first' (of which only 8 were actually allocated to the Netherlands), but I failed. Ow well...

Hi, I've been posting for a few days now, so thought I'd introduce myself. My real name is Harlow, but I'd understand if you prefer to call me Turtle. I'm probably one of the older members here (pushing 76), but I married a much younger wife (she's not even 75 yet. We reside in Northern Wisconsin's beautiful Northwoods. Diane drives a 2010 Lexus RX 350 (her first car ever) & I get the old'95 Lincoln Continental with just 55K on it. OUR new 2015 50th Anniversary Edition will be Kona Blue with the automatic tranny. I'm amazed at the knowledge you "kids" have & am eagerly learning about this American icon we all love. Thanks for sharing with the old timer.

New member here. Just ordered a Competition Orange GT Premium, 401A, Track Pack, and Recaros. Don't know the ins and outs of ordering. However, my order is retail with a priority of 10 and a job #2 line item on the order. Its already up on the Ford order tracking site.

My first Mustang. I've had all sorts of cars including 69 442 Vert, Triumph TR7, Triumph GT6, Gen 2 GTI 16V, 83 Turbo T-Bird, 2 Miata's (one is a current track car), Jensen GT, and just sold a 92 911 C2 Coupe.

Well, I finally got my Order number from the dealer and this is the link to the car I just got rid of:brokenheart:. It looks like the order was placed in July 11, 2014. It shows it is still in order processing. Anyone have an order placed in July that has had their car start production yet?

If any, very few. Most of us are in the Order Processing boat.

I was told they would be the first ones done and they would arrive at the dealerships first, weeks before dealer inventory! Was I lied to?
