I posted a question and realised I hadn't introduced myself.
Hey all.
I've been a member following this forum since the great pics of the Ruby Red appeared about 6 months back.
I'm from the Hunter Valley NSW, Australia at the moment. I've been in love with Americana since I was a kid watching John Wayne movies and Smokey & The Bandit. I did 15 years in the Highway Patrol here and have driven our Australian v8's hard on the streets for years. I went to Texas in 2011 and rented a Mustang (Black) for a week and fell in love with the thing as I drove it around east Texas. It was only supposed to be a v6 but the guy at the Hire car place was a big fan of Mad Max, and I was living in Broken Hill (near where Mad Max was filmed), so he upgraded me to the V8 MUSTANG GT.

I'm planning on ordering a Fastback with the 50th Package & Perf Package if I can still have the 50th wheels on the thing depending on what Ford Australia will be offering us. I just don't know what colour yet. I can't decide between Black, White , Magnetic, Guard, DIB, Red, Ruby Red, T/Yellow or C/Orange...hmmm, at least I have eliminated the Silver colour. I've still got at least six months before ordering starts here haven't I, by then this forum will probably be closed 'cause all the USA members will be driving theirs. I also love the white seats but again I don't think that comes with the 50th package. I always want the spoiler delete but again conflicts with the 50th package. It'll be a lucky dip anyway as all we are here from Ford Australia is crickets.....

It will definitely be the V8 GT for me.

I wound up deciding against the 50th appearance package because of the spoiler delete conflict. I love the way the fastback looks without one. The seats in the 50th package are all black but have the same "50 years" logo on them in front.

Hopefully you guys will get some more information in the near future. I am very interested to see the RHD versions and what you and others who will get them think about them.

I've gone back and forth a lot but after considering everything i will be going with an ecoboost 6sp in guard with the PP.
