Okay so just an update. Found the problem and it's embarrassing. I didn't drain my catch can at the regular interval and thought I had. When I opened it up it was way more full then it's ever been.
Once that was sorted problem went away completely. Guess it was ingesting small amounts of catch...
No this past weekend I was in Charlottesville Saturday and worked on my 93' F350 interior Sunday.
Started working from home back in October so don't need to drive much these days. I'll get to it soon I expect.
Thanks again for all the replies.
That's a good idea. Wonder if I can get a good enough data log using torque. Sadly the Livernois tuner doesn't have data-logging capability. At least the old one I have does not. It appears they have a newer unit that does now.
Your description isn't far from my impression of what it's doing. I will check my plugs.
With my stock plugs I'd get a misfire code and check engine light but it never felt like it was surging.
Could be the replacement NGK's I put in are just worn now.
Be nice to get the top 1500 rpm's back...
First post here in a really long time. On to the issue.
Getting a surge under full throttle conditions. No other time.
Some details.

Because people are mostly dumb, fickle, and have a need to showboat.
I really wanted a GT350. Even went so far as to buy a 15 EB lightly optioned instead of the 15 GT heavily optioned back in December of 14'. Plans were to use the money saved to get into a GT350 once they were available. The...
What I, and a number of people who have ridden with me for extended drives have noticed is that the Mustang seems to bring out the Passholes.
What is a Passhole? It's the guy/gal you've been coming up to from behind fairly quickly with the cruise control on but as soon as you're close to...
Okay I read the write up on their theory behind the application.
Makes sense. Especially for those who aren't capable/willing to go the E85 route since the limit on 93oct seems to fall just shy of the 400 mark anyway.
Considering they are modifying stock housings I can see why the price is...
Not owning a GT350 I can only comment on my experience with parts for my S197. I ordered from them in March, spoke with Jason, and he was upfront about being out of stock on certain parts at that time. I was ordering more than just camber plates and it took a couple weeks before the parts were...
Not one answer to my question after 3 pages.
Ya'll sure are triggered easily.
So I'll ask again. Has anyone with a high mile 2.3 had carbon buildup issues?
I was wondering about this a couple days ago myself. Lincolns are just so boring. They really do need a flagship sports car. Might be a great place for the Raptor 3.5 EB and new 10 speed auto to exist in a lighter, good handling vehicle. They could take it upmarket from the mustang and put...
Chip tuning was all the rage on diesels say about 15 years ago. They blew up engines and eventually got educated and flash tuning became preferred for its better and safer overall performance improvements.
The chip guys used to boast tuning on the fly, easily removed, etc.
Still they blew...
So I'm closing in on 55k miles. Be there before the next tank of gas. Been tuned since 18k. It should be noted I installed a catch can at 1500 miles.
With all the talk of carbon buildup in these DI cars I was wondering if anyone on here has had a real issue with it? Anyone had to get the...
yomomma, the truth is white has zero fast level as accurately displayed in my credible, highly accurate chart.
And on your serious note. Having driven all 3 motors myself, albeit the GT was a stick where the V6 an auto but I've driven the EB in both configurations. (I rent cars often for...
Well you have me dead to rights on one very minor technicality. My super accurate, unquestionably legit chart is not specifically Mustang specific as pointed out by the full rainbow of colors on display for the purposes of power levels knowledge.
My first step into this dangerous, chemically...
tw557 if your budget is 10k. I've seen decent, for a track car, examples in the 5-7k range. They will need suspension, brakes, wheels/tires before they are track worthy but that doesn't mean you can't run them as is before the upgrades. Just understand that you may not be able to run as hard as...
I am in full agreement of the EB daily and an 05-09 4.6 car. Been building my 07' GT into my track car since last October. Had it out on VIR last month and just loved that experience. It's just so much fun. I don't street drive it much now because well track pads don't like street driving and I...
